The Boathouse couldn't have been better!

We stayed at the boathouse 8/1-8/8 and had a WONDERFUL time! The property is situated down a steep hill and there is an electronic lift to provide ease of access. Because of this, the property is very private and very romantic.
We had 4 people in our party. Us adults slept up in the queen sized bed in the loft and our 2 teenage boys shared the sofabed downstairs and we were all comfortable.
The view was spectacular due to the large windows in front of the property that literally look down over the water. And when the weather wasn't the best, the sound of the water crashing up on the shore made it sound as if staying on a beach.
The property had everything that we needed to live comfortably for a week: kitchen supplies, toiletries, hair dryer, etc. There were water-related items such as a paddle boat and a canoe to use as well for our entertainment.
We also had a special guest-Bandit the cat who visited us daily who everyone just fell in love with.
Although there is internet access on the property, you may not be able to access it from the boathouse-we just went upstairs and sat in the car or on the porch steps if we absolutely needed it-no big deal.
The owners, Karen and Earl are just as nice as they can be.
We definitely hope to return!
