Very stylish and extremely well equipped, this bright and very quiet Parisian flat located in the heart of Le Marais is:

- Highly functional: wireless high speed Internet, plasma screen, cable TV (134 channels), i-pod dock connector, washer/dryer, touch-activated electric cook top, stereo, coffee maker, blow hair dryer, alarm clock, iron + ironing board, , microwave + grill oven, toaster, etc. Subway station + great supermarket are right downstairs of the apt.

- Super comfortable: High quality linens, goose down feather comforters, deep seated sofas with lots of pillows, and tons of closet space

- Very Stylish: retro chic style combined with modern furnishings (stark, kartell, etc.). Original Versailles parquet floors, exposed beams throughout major part of the apt, and a decorative fireplace.

- extremely well located: this apt sits in the heart of the TRENDIEST district in Paris. Museums, shops, restaurants, farmers market + more within walking distances.

Le Marais is one of the 'chicest' most cultural districts of Paris due to its various museums, art galleries, historical places, trendy shops, amazing restaurants, farmers market, wines and grocery shops, parks and cafes. It is also very centrally located, being closed to la Seine, St Germain (Latin quarters district), Place de la Bastille and Place de la Republique. Several subway/bus lines are available throughout the neighborhood, making it very easy to visit other Parisian districts.

Best place to be engulfed by Le Marais

To start the owner of this property Carine, was very responsive and accommodating. Locking down this vacation rental was very easy. She answered all of my questions and was very timely in doing so. Upon arrival Laurence the lady managing the place for Carine was extremely sweet and informative about the property. When she left I felt very comfortable in my home away from home.

The apartment itself is very nice. It is on the 3rd floor (4th floor for all of us Americans) so it had a nice view of the street below and the iconic Parisian roof tops. The apartment was very relaxing. The bed is comfortable and well dressed. The living room felt good to lounge with a glass of wine after a day of exploring while I researched what great local restaurant to eat at for the night. The food in this area was absolutely stunning (La Briciola, Chez Janou, Robert & Louise, Le Petit Marche, L'intention). There is also a well stocked grocery store on this street if you wish to make a meal in the apartment's kitchen. The location is perfect. The Subway is right around the corner, 3 Velib stations with 2 blocks, or you can easily walk to a lot of the main sites in Paris (Which I recommend. Getting lost in this city is one of my favorite things to do!) The wireless internet had great speed. I was in Paris for work and spent many nights at the table overlooking the Parisian street with a glass of wine hacking away at my project. Probably one of my more enjoyable work experiences I've had. This apartment and neighborhood is also extremely safe. I felt very comfortable walking around at all hours of the day and night. The apartment also has great security if a zombie outbreak happens in Paris during your stay.

Things to note: It is on the 4th foor with no elevator. The stairs are definitely easy to navigate unless you're old and brittle, or young and stairs are new to you. Just take your time and watch your footing and you''ll be ok. As noted in other reviews, if you're 6ft tall taking a shower is a bit of a chalenge. The bathroom has about a 6'3" ceiling. Once stepping into the shower my head definitely hit the ceiling being 6'1". It made for a bit of a chuckle every morning.

We had a wonderful time using this apartment for a week. The location is absolutely wonderful, a quick stroll to the Metro and shops. It is a perfectly reasonable walk to Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle and the like. It was much more spacious than a hotel room, and having a small fridge and a washer/dryer made life easier. A smaller suitcase to bring up the stairs!

Full discosure: this is an apartment for the able-bodied and not-too-tall. It is on the US fourth/Continental third floor. The bathroom is inside the bedroom, which might be awkward for a couple plus friend sort of arrangement. The bathroom has three(?) small and one very high (10" or so) step. While the bathroom is pretty spacious by French standards, the cieling is very low. Someone much over six feet might not be able to stand up straight. The tub has the standard European shower head with felxible tube coming out of the faucet. There is room to stand if you prefer, and I was able to wash my hair doing so. I am 5''5". However, a taller person would need to sit in tub.

The kitchen has the basics and has a nice big window, as does the real-live, as opposed to nook, bedroom. The street is rather quiet, and the Marais is an fantastic neighborhood for wandering aimlessly.

I would happily stay there again.

Hi, everybody. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this lovely spot...like most of Paris, the exterior exactly what you expect (lots of steps and a bit dark when you enter the building), but the apartment is simply perfect, especially for a couple. The apartment is charming and chic, the views are just perfect- you can peer into windows and see Paris life as it really is...The bed was super comfortable and perfect after long days of hitting les rues in search of all that is wonderful in Paris. The living room area is perfect and the kitchen is perfect for stowing all of your culinary pleasures.

Which leads me to the best part of the apartment- the location. The Marais is a lovely and cool area of Paris...think Nolita in New York. Great shopping, excellent food, and cool young vibe. The apartment is super close to the Place des Vosges, and the metro is around the corner. Also around the corner is the very fab Merci, a new concept store that gives Colette a run for its euros. There is also a good supermarket on the corner for wine and cheese runs and anything else you may need. Also a great tabac on the corner (Le Diplomat) for a quick coffee in the am.

All in all, a great experience in a charming setting. Make sure your wireless works there though...may want to check beforehand as mine didn't. I adored the neighborhood and the apartment- nice and quiet at night too when you need to just pass out after a long day. Also felt very safe in the building and the neighborhood- not an ounce of worry there. A lovely spot to lay your head in Paris. Lots of closet space too if your are an overpacker like me. Have fun! Highly recommend.

thank you Carine for renting us your apt - you were right... perfect location and very tastefully decorated. chic and simple. nothing was missing. it was so close to everything i wanted to see or go to! everything was in walking distance. my fiancee and i had a wonderful time and may return very soon if it's available.

The apartment itself was clean and well furnished. The entrance and the stairway leading up to it needed some work . You had to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom, so if your traveling with others that might be an issue to consider. However the location was amazing. I'ts close to everything and the metro is just steps away. The beds were very comfortable. Marais is an active location with plenty to do and see. Good restaurants and cafe's are nearby and you absolutely will not need a car. The owner was very friendly and we had no problem getting the key.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing
