South Austin house rental surroundings:
The house that we're renting is near the Broken Spoke, an historic Austin dance hall. Also, South Austin is where you'll find a lot of Austin's attractions, such as Barton Springs Pool (an Austin favorite), South Congress (also known as SoCo), Mercury Hall (an Austin wedding reception location and historic building). Renting a house in Austin isn't the same without a trip to South Congress to visit the eclectic shops and restaurants. On your visit to South Congress, I recommend Amy's Ice Cream, where family entertainment is (at least) half of the fun. Further down South Congress, Guero's is the Mexican restaurant where President Bill Clinton ate in his Austin visit.
