One of the best weekends this year!

We stayed here for my husband's birthday weekend and it turned out to be one of the best birthdays ever. We arrived in the dark; I knew the instant my kids woke up in the morning, because I heard my daughter say "Wow!"
Even though I was dying to sit with my cup of coffee and watch the birds on the lake, I didn't want to get out of bed because the feather bed and comforter were the coziest things on earth. We cranked up the wood stove and played Monopoly for an hour or so then went swimming (!) in the lovely heated pool for the rest of the morning. What cabin in Montana has a heated swimming pool?? I gather the pool can be rented by small groups, but we were the only ones there.
My whole plan was to have a quiet family weekend together and something about this cabin made everyone want to cozy up by the stove and hang out together: success!!
I took the kayak out and paddled for an hour in the afternoon, exploring the incredible coastline and waterfowl.
The owners were super helpful and welcoming. I would HIGHLY recommend this cabin for a couple or small family.

The Swan Hill Lake Cabin is indeed one of the sweetest 1bedroom vacation rentals on the lake; and you are right to wonder...
