Renter's beware

Renters beware. The booking process is unorganized. The owners do not tell each other details that were arranged and admit to forgeting conversations regarding the condo. Get everything in writing prior to sending a security deposit. We were told by one of the owners that our dog was welcome. This information was not forwarded to the other owner who became extremely hostile when they found out about our pet at the condo. We were asked to pay an exorbitant amount of money to continue to stay in the condo with our pet. The owners removed bed linens and made us feel very unwelcome. They blamed us for a mess on condo common ground that we did not create. Currently they are refusing to return our security deposit despite us leaving the condo cleaner than when we arrived.
The heater/air conditioner is very noisy. The dishes were not clean in the cupboards.The owner left lots of clutter and person effects in the condo, including eye glasses on the counter, old food/beverages in the refrigerator and personal sundries in the bathroom...
The location is good but not worth the hassles!
I would not recommend this condo to a friend or an enemy...

Owner's Response: Renters surprised us with 2large dogs, a 7 month pit and an older bigger dog. They refused to pay a deposit. I asked them to go elsewhere, they refused, the police were called.
They said we knew about the dogs and were trying to get more money from them than was agreed on. I did take the new white silk down comforter off the bed and replaced it with something more dog friendly, being as in his words, they liked to sleep in bed with us.
The 7 days they were there, not one time did they pick up after the dogs, even though the neighbor asked them to. The condo was left smelling like dog, the floors were filthy, and 15 to 18 dog piles at the front entrance.
We have had rental properties for many years and take pride in our rentals. This was the worst experience we have had.
