Everything about El Dorado condo was awesome...Comfortable beds, nice patio area facing the Pacific, daily housecleaning, fully stocked kitchen, polite gate staff and of course location location location!!!....Diane was a great owner to work with. Prompt to all my inquiries and very fair and accurate in describing the facilities.... The only 2 things not "perfect" was there isn't direct access to the beach from within the building(but still very very close) and the stairs down to the condo weren't ideal for my most senior friend but that was known in advance...
We would definitely recommend Diane as an owner. She takes care of her guests!!...and we would definitely stay here again!....As a vacation rental owner myself this was the experience I aim for for my own guests!!!!....

Dianne,
We want to thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. We could find nothing to complain about. The Mexican flair, the hospitality of the staff, the beautiful patio / pool, and most of all the location was superb. Located in the heart of "old town" in the area known as the Zona Romantica, this beach front condo is located wihin walking distance of everything old town has to offer. We hope to be able to stay again in the future. Thank You!

My sis and I landed at the airport , turned left and grabbed a local bus for fun to head to the Romantic Zone and the El Dorado (6 pesos). Everything was seamless from the time we began negotiating w/Dianne for her condo. It's a beautifully appointed two bedroom place with a lovely private deck and shared pool which has plenty of chairs and all is kept very clean. The staff a the front desk extremely pleasant, helpful, and speak English. Our maid came daily , never interupting us, cleaned dishes, made beds, swept floors, etc.. There is asafe for your things and in general we felt very safe at all times. You're 20 feet from a cab stand, restaurants, taco stands, spas, etc all very conveniently located near your beach side condo. We used Cupocity coupons purchased on the Internet and saved over 50% on goods and services throughout our stay. (just google coupocity.com ) . most places take dollars and often actually exchange them at higher rates than the banks. It's a truly fun area to be staying in PV. I've been coming to this part of town since 1975 and wouldn't recommend any other area. You can walk to almost anywhere you'd like to go to. Take advantage of the many spa discounts, restaurants (even taco stands), and "Happy Hour" drinks, sport bars and quiet walks on the beaches during the early morning hours before folks awake (prior to 10 AM it seems). The condo has TV's in the living room and one in each bedroom.. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom and the size of the condo is quite large. I can't imagine getting more for your money. I'd list the negatives but quite honestly can't think of any.............

The staff at the El Dorado go an extra mile to be helpful and are always friendly.
It is great that you took the bus from the airport..maybe not for everyone but a great option for
the more out going traveler!

vacation at best location from 7/30 to 8/7

We booked the total of 8 days at this condo after I found it on Home away. After speaking with the owner, we agreed to make special arrangements so we could get in before the opening of the front desk.
When we got there to my surprise the place was very secure; you will need a key to open the front gate. The condo was located on the lower level but that didn't matter you could still partially see the ocean and we could hear the waves crashing at night very clear.
The condo was very clean and well maintain. After settling in we went to the beach which is about a 200 yards from the condo, just walk down a set of steps and you are there. The beach was very safe plenty of people swimming and of course you can forget the vendors which my daughters love specially the fruit vendor which brought mangos on a stick for just $20 pesos and the size of the mangos was great. At the beach the Marine Corps had a tent which they set up every morining and take down around 5 pm so the beach was safe.
And the city; well everything is close by. We never had the need for a car except the one time we had to go to the grocery store to buy groceries for the full week. But you will find that there are lots of small mamas and papas stores which will have almost everything. But keep in mind this is Mexico so if you need some items for your bathroom or pharmaseuracle items you will only find these at the pharmacies which are located everywhere. My nephew and I went out one night, we were walking the streets of old Vallarta very late and we felt very safe there because there was no crime.
Back to the condo during our week long stay the place was clean every day except Sunday but other than that the cleaning lady which was excellent and very professional took care of all our needs and more. She was great! The condo is just the right size for a family of 6 and it is located at the right place near the beach and with walking distant from everything. I rate this condo one of the best places I have ever stayed and the price was excellent.
I will definitely stay at this place again in a future vacations.
