The Dorothy Adelaide Cottage sits on Maine's southern coast on private Moody/Ogunquit beach. The cottage is ideally located for endless activities on or away from the beach in the Spring, Summer or Fall. Many Restaurant choices are available. Activities on the beach range from kayaking, surfing, beach combing, surf fishing,walking, ball-playing, badminton, sand castle creations, and more. There are gorgeous sunrises which come up over the ocean to view from your private front porch. The full moon over the ocean lighting up the beach and water is breathtaking. There are gas grills, private picnic tables on the oceanfront lawn and lounge chairs for the beach. Ample on site parking is available for guests. The house is extremely well maintained with all new/updated appliances, comfortable quality mattresses, and attractive furnishings. You will find the house very clean and the kitchen well equipped with plenty of pots, pans, utensils as well as dishes and silverware.

There are many unique antique shops, outlet shopping with a variety of stores and locally owned shops. Kennebunkport is the summer home of former President Bush and Family Maine has the freshest seafood found anywhere as well as top grade restaurants to fit any budget. There are magnificent sunrises and the full moon lights up the whole beach. The beach is a safe place for children and families to enjoy. Blueberry picking and summer stock theatre are within 10 minutes. The cottage is located on the Wells/Ogunquit line with a 1.3 mile stretch of sandy white beach. There are many hidden seaside ports to drive to and explore and we are located between Kennebunkport and Ogunquit. If you enjoy being outdoors in the summer this is the place to be. You can pull up a beach chair and watch the activity on the beach, read a book, surf fish, kayak down the back rivers, bicycle around the seacoast, or stroll among the shops and restaurants

  • On season is from June 27th to September 5th. Off season begins April 1 to June 26th and commences on September 5 through November 1 st. Weeks run from Saturday 3 PM to Saturday 10 AM
  • 50% down within 10 days with initial reservation. Canadian guests, due to the exchange rate, postal money order U.S. Funds, certified bank check in U.S. Funds. U.S. guests personal checks accepted for the 50% reservations deposit and 14 days before occupancy date. If you chose to pay the balance on your move-in date, either cash or a certified bank check all guests. In the event of a cancellation, a refund, less a 10% service charge on the total will be returned to you upon re-renting of your reserved time. All monies minus 10% will be returned if owner is able to rerent the entire time cancelled at the same price.

There is an abundance of blankets and pillows. Guests supply their own sheets and towels. Andersen casement windows open up the bedrooms to ocean breezes and the wonderful smell of the salt air. Guests are limited to 5 including children. There is electric heat with a thermostat in every room so that the cottage is warm and cozy at all times. The cottage is non-smoking, pets are not allowed.
