This lovely, fully furnished beach cottage is located at the Rookery. Snowbirds are welcome. It is located just across the street from the beach, a short 0.4 mile walk or drive. The complex has a small pool just outside of your door and a huge zero-entry pool with an outdoor Jacuzzi for your enjoyment. It also has a well-kept tennis court. It is located 17 miles down Fort Morgan Road from Gulf Shores at mile marker 6. The cottage is furnished with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Master bedroom has a Queen bed, the second also features a Queen size bed, and the third bedroom has a full size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, and icemaker. Unit also has a washer and dryer for your convenience. Two T.V.'s with DVD players are in the unit with a great selection of family oriented DVD movies for your entertainment. The Rookery is a quiet resort that borders the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge.

The Rookery was designed to be a quiet resort located adjacent to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. You may play games outside with the kids, birdwatch, or walk the trail to Mobile Bay. Explore one of the Bon Secour marked trails with your family located nearby. Historic Fort Morgan is only 6 miles away, or take the Ferry to Dauphin Island and visit Fort Gains or the Sea Estuary. There are 2 championship golf courses within a couple of miles, without the traffic or crowds. A short drive into Gulf Shores and you can visit Waterville, the Gulf Coast Zoo, or the Track, offering amusement park rides and arcade games. Numerous restaurants also await you. Drive up to Foley and visit the Tanger Outlet, al large outlet mall. A marina, boat dock, and local restaurants are nearby. Tennis rackets and beach supplies are provided for your convenience.

    If payment is not received, your reservation will be canceled and your deposit will be forfeited.

Check-out is 10:00am or earlier on the departure date. Early arrival or late departure times may be available by contacting the owner. This is a family oriented community and it remains quiet at night. We ask that you respect other renters. No glass in the pool area please. Children should be supervised. Because this is a wildlife area, a small alligator could be seen in or around one of the on-site ponds. We prefer long-term renters (snowbirds) in the winter months, but prefer to rent by the week starting in the spring. We accept credit cards, checks, or money orders.

The Cottage: This is the perfect getaway for a family with children, or couples who just need a quiet retreat. Everything you need is provided except food.

Fabulous Pools and Tennis Courts: The Rookery has two well-maintained pools. A smaller pool is located just outside of your door. It acts as your very own private pool for swimming or sunbathing. The larger, zero-entry pool has a grilling area for families to cook and eat while the kids are swimming. There is also a hot tub, as well as eight fountains of water that spray into the pool. Tennis Courts are well maintained. There are nature trails as well as a bike path. The public beach is a short walk down Cortez Street.
