Well Kept Secret - Trails Galore:
No words can describe the beauty of this area. Whether you come up from Denver and head West on Hwy 285, turn Left at Jefferson and go approx 25 miles, or if you come up from Colorado Springs, head West on Hwy 24 and turn right at Lake George - Hwy 77 - Tarryall Road and go 15 miles. Every single mile is filled with unbelievable scenery. The Tarryall River Estates area is surrounded by the Lost Park Wilderness Area and Pikes Peak National Forest. Running from Lake George to the Tarryall area is the Platte River - great fishing spots. Running from Jefferson to the Tarryall River Estates is the Tarryall River, as well as the Tarryall Reservoir - more fishing. The area is right in the middle of Hunting area 501. There are Camp Grounds and Trail Heads on either side of the Tarryall River Estates area, but all you have to do is go out the cabin door go maybe 50 feet and you are on the trail. You could be in the area for a month and still not come close to exploring all the trails.
Cripple Creek/Victor - Casinos/Mining Towns:
Take a trip to Cripple Creek/Victor, where we have one of the largest active Gold Mines in the Country. There is so much to do in this area you will want to plan a day trip. It is located within 1 hour of the cabin. Cripple Creek is also on of our Gambling Towns - with lots of Restaurants and Entertainment.
Fishing, Hunting and Skiing:
Hunters and Fisherman's Heaven. Fish the reservoir, trout fish on the Platte River, Head over to 11 Mile and Spinney Reservoirs - all within 30 minutes.
And to top it all off - you can head to Breckenridge for some of Colorado's best skiing - and be their in an hour.
You will go through Fairplay and over Hoosier pass and wind your way down to Frisco and Breckinridge.
