A BEAUTIFUL DISASTER !

My family and I left Austin Texas about a week and a half ago. When we arrived at 3pm as the check in time stated, we were not greeted on time. This was the first problem for me. In fact I called and called the owner and there was no response until twenty minutes later. I could not believe that the entire time that we were in the drive way, the owner was inside the home not responding.
Finally she opened the door and I must admit that the home was beautiful to our first indiscretion. Everything looked gorgeous on the surface, then it happened! As the day passed my family and I began to see more and more things that were " unclean and out of order"! Specifically, The refrigerator was filthy, the microwave was dirty, the kitchen seat covers were stained( which later she blamed and charged us for), the springs on the trampoline were coming off, the grill was dirty, oily, not assembled and the rack of the grill was lying in the grass! What was so frustrating was both of the bedrooms with the blow up beds had slow leaks in them! One of them had a hole and would not even stay up! Also we found and killed a scorpion in one of the side bedrooms! A scorpion!!!! That could have stung someone!!!
When it came time for us to leave my family did above what was required of us, such as cleaning the dishes, the kitchen, living room, bed rooms, etc. Yet we were still charged for damages that we DID NOT do! She even had the "nerve" to insinuate that maybe my "children" did it and my daughter is two and nephew is one! They did nothing! So I encourage anyone who stays in this property to inspect the home, take pictures before your deposit is taken under your nose.
Austin Texas was a blast but the home we stayed in was a beautiful disaster!
Owner's Response: Unfortunately a portion of the security deposit had to be retained from this guest. This is necessary to keep the furnishings in good quality for other guests.
To future travelers -- my guests really enjoy their stay at the property! We are ready and eager to promptly address any concerns or special requests! Let us know if you are celebrating a special occasion so we can provide a themed decoration to the furnishings. Coming soon -- additional TVs, a foosball table and a kid-friendly pool table.
