Theater District Vacation Rental condo

My family of 3 adults and one 16 year old stayed at this apartment for a week from 19 Dec '09. This property is well located being 2 blocks from Times Square, close to all the must see sights in midtown and easy to access all other areas.

Whilst the listing says it sleeps 4 (this would be in a queen and a double bed) we were able to stretch out by using the 2 sofas with the extra linen provided. The kids enjoyed the view of falling snow, lights at night and the sunrise in the morning! Cab fares are cheap and convenient and there is the subway if you wish just a block or so away.

It was a quiet unit (despite the ubiquitous sound of NYS emergency services - but it wouldn't be NY without it!) despite it being in an obviously well populated doorman block. Bank of 4 lifts were efficent and quick.

We ate out most meals so did not use the kitchen very much but it was well equipped. There are many convenience stores nearby; drug store called Duane Reade was 2 blocks away and had a 7 day walk-in medical centre (not open Christmas or NY but every day otherwise and we needed it twice during our stay, Drs were friendly and helpful and wait was not too long) and restaurants are plentyiful. The location was SO CONVENIENT!

2 bathrooms are a must with our family and these were modern and functioned adequately.

Building heating was efficient, so warm we had to open the window at times but certainly kept any mist from blocking our gorgeous view out to the river and building tops and Christmas lights.

Owners were very good with communication via telephone and email and the security deposit was refunded promptly. We chose this property after a different booking for another property gave rise to some suspicions of some not so honest dealings. I was assured from the very first communication that the owners here were bona fide and motivated, reliable people. Have appreciated Gabriel's warm and informative communications.

We had a wonderfuol time in NYC and shall return in the not too distant future.

What a fabulous view! We could watch the cruise ships come in to the harbor. Very convenient location next to restaurants, grocery stores, the subway and the shows. The apartment was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. It was easy to get to from the JFK airport.

Lovely, spacious and clean apt. in fabulous location. Withing walking distance of everything. The view from this apt. are fantastic. Comfortable beds and pretty much everything you would want, even a concierge. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Chris and Gabriel.
