Come and getaway from the fast-paced world and still have the conveniences and activities near Spokane, Washington and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. In the fall, enjoy the weekend away from the kids in this secluded location and rekindle the spark that made you fall in love.

The tranquility and the feeling of being at peace with nature is unbelievable and must be experienced to appreciate. If you come at the right time of year a moose, wild turkey, osprey, hawks and other birds can be seen and heard.

There is plenty of elbow-room being located on an acre and a half with hammocks, a tree fort, and a huge covered deck to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in the open air. Plenty of room is available to play any lawn game you desire. Treed and non-treed areas allow for a good old fashion game of hide-n-seek with the kids as well as touch football, croquet, lawn bowling, horseshoes or just enjoying nature.

Enjoy a personal hot tub that seats seven people comfortably with a view of the stars at night. Built into the spa are lights that will soothe and relax you. You can see and feel the breeze going through the trees as you choose to use the therapeutic chair that will massage your neck, back, legs and feet.

Within a few minute drive is a boat launch, fishing dock, children's playground and beach. There are docks for fishing and areas to sunbathe or have a picnic lunch. You can walk the trail that surrounds the lake or enjoy a bike ride. The serenity and tranquility of the area allows you to relax and enjoy your vacation without having to drive.

Or, if you are more adventurous and looking to learn about the history of the area it is only a fifteen minute drive to beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene area or twenty minutes to the Spokane city center.

Wonderful Cabin Getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hauser Lake Retreat home. We arrived to find a cute cabin secluded up on the hill, but centrally located to the activities that we wanted to enjoy while visiting Idaho. We were able to easily access Sandpoint, CDA, Bonner's Ferry, Silverwood Theme Park, and more for day trips and then return home to peace and quiet at night. The evenings were spent relaxing in the hot tub and reading by the fire to unwind. We found everything possible available in the cabin for us. Our son was thrilled to have so many games to play that entertained him for hours. It also gave us the opportunity to spend quality time as a family together without the interruptions often found at home with all the distractions from technology and media. The host family has thought of nearly everything and has provided it. The cabin is very well maintained and cozy inside and out. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and we plan to return ourselves. Perfect family vacation!!!

Great Retreat. Clean and well stocked home

We were able to spend a whole week in this beautiful location and home. The home is located on a dead end road which makes you feel even more secluded. But you are only minutes away from town. The house is very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen for cooking and grilling. The hot tub was large, hot, and clean. We enjoyed the video library. Its a perfect place to get away.

We highly suggest a fall visit here because of the cool weather and beautiful autumn colors. Lots of nearby shopping and sightseeing opportunities to take advantage of. We would love to return another time. It really is a great place. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

great summer vacation!

We went to Idaho for the first time this year with our two children, 4 and 11, and our two friends. We were so thrilled pulling up to, "Hauser Retreat". The area is beautiful, close to everything that you would need, i.e., Silverwood, Coeur D'Alene, and Spokane Valley Mall, all 15 min away. When you are done for the day the cabin in the woods is peaceful and secluded for winding down. The tall pines bring in wildlife of all sorts, including wild trukeys and deer that we saw. Hauser Lake is a great lake, small and not overcrowded. The water was warm, and very clear.

Complete Bliss!

Absolutely fantastic! My husband and I stayed 4 nights and had a hard time leaving this little piece of heaven. We had our waverunners with us and hit all 3 lakes that were reasonably close by. We rode hard all day on the lake and came "home" to the best jacuzzi relaxation ever! However, we packed too many supplies because everything we needed was already there. Next time just food and clothes. We are planning on rebooking for next summer but for an extra day because we really wanted to stay another night. If you want to "get away from it all", this is the place to go!

Hauser Lake Retreat

From the moment we walked through the front door of this immaculate cabin, it was clear this place is well loved and maintained. We had a large group, and found we had plenty of room for sleeping, eating, and playing. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, which was very clean, and piping hot when we arrived. The lake is about a mile drive from the cabin, and has BBQ grates and picnic tables, so we had a nice day at the lake, complete with a BBQ. Several in our group took bike rides with the bikes available right there at the cabin. Silverwood was about a half hour away, and we enjoyed a long day there as well. We also had a nice day in Coeur D'Alene, and wished our stay was a few days longer. It felt like we were away in the middle of tranquil wilderness, with all the modern luxuries, but only minutes from the hustle and bustle. A perfect place for a family getaway, with something for everyone. The owners of this cabin have really thought of everything you might need, and the only things we brought in were our food and clothing.
