The Village Loft is located at 121 Central Avenue, just a short walk from the Amtrak train station, free ski bus, Black Star Brewery, and dozens of fine shops and restaurants. The Loft was carefully renovated in 1999 to restore the apartment's original 1906 character. High ceilings, pine floors, wainscoting, and four-paneled doors with original hardware are complimented by antiques of the period. 3 bedrooms sleep six, 1 bath, living room, dining room, full kitchen and laundry room, washer/dryer, phone, cable TV and VCR, plus a sun deck with picnic table and a view of Big Mountain Ski Resort. Reserved parking. Just downstairs, guests will find Remedies, a day spa, and a small crepe cafe. Across the street is Coffee Traders for fresh coffee, sandwiches and free wireless connection. During the summer, the Whitefish Farmer's Market is only two blocks away.

Nearest Airport: Glacier International Airport, Kalispell (FCA) at 11 Miles
Whitefish is 45 minutes from the west entrance of Glacier National Park and also from the head of Flathead Lake, and it is an hour south of the Canadian border at Rexburg. Whitefish and the Flathead Valley has excellent golf courses open to the public, two ski resorts and many fine restaurants, plus theater events.

Village Loft is the place to be in Whitefish

I have stayed at the Village Loft five times over the last five years or so and absolutely love it. The location is prime for being "right in the middle of town" and only steps away from the free shuttle to the mountain. Great decor, clean and an atmosphere that fit right into Whitefish. I'll be back again and again.

I used the Village Loft as my home base for a 10 day stay while vacationing and doing some work in Glacier National Park. The Loft proved a perfect respite between the rugged tranquility of the park and the headaches of dealing with a tourist environment. Quiet and elegant, with all the basic comforts of home, staying at the Loft was a perfect way to escape.

Convenience and Comfort

The Village Loft is a great place to stay in town. One can wander over to Coffee Traders for breakfast, and walk to all Whitefish's restaurants in five minutes.
The furnishings, some lovely antiques, are very comfortable, as are the beds.
The kitchen/dining area is spacious and there is a great laundry room. The unit is well maintained and the owner very helpful in suggesting interesting activities in the Flathead Valley
I would recommend The Village Loft for anyone wanting a different Whiteish experience.
