The two Crete-style country houses offer much in the way of comfort, along with a beautiful view of the sea and the mountains. The houses were recently renovated (2000) and are located across from each other at the pool. House A is suitable for 4 to 5 people, house B for 7 to 8 people. The houses can be rented separately or together.

You'll live in the mountain village of Elia, 15 km from Heraklion, 4 km from Kokkini Kani beach. This is a typical, hospitable Crete community. You are living with the friendly Cretans, but still separate in your villa or sitting on the pool-side. In the neighbourhood within 25 km, there are a lot of sight-seeing-places, for instance Knossos Palace, Waterpark Anopolis, the old village of Archanes, the wine - cellery of Minos, the resorts of Hersonissos and Malia, the Knossos-museum in Heraklion, the sea-aquarium in Gouves, the old capital Heraklion.

Further Details: Both houses are air conditioned. No noise from the airport (15 km), car rentals. Also suitable for winter holidays. Distance from the beach: 4,000 m. The new golf-course of Hersonissos (18 holes) is at 22 km.

Other Activities: Water sports, scuba- diving, golf at 25 km.

Wer mitten in dem kleinen Bergdorf Elea (ca. 400 Einwohnern) unter liebenswerten und freundlichen Kretensern einen wirklichen Griechenlandurlaub verbringen möchte, ist hier goldrichtig. Auto ist ein Muss. Zum Strand ca. 10 Minuten. Schöner Sandstrand flach abfallend mit meist schöner Brandung wg. dem oft herrschenden Nordwind. In Elea gibts mehrere kleine Supermärkte wo man alles für den täglichen Bedarf kaufen kann. Ansonsten Lidl, Spar nicht weit entfernt. Es gibt einen kleinen urgemütlichen Marktplatz in kürzester Entfernung mit kleinen und sehr preisgünstigen Tavernen.
Die Villa entspricht voll den Erwartungen, alles wie beschrieben und der Vermieter, der in der Nachbarschaft wohnt, kümmert sich liebevoll um seine Gäste. Falls es ein Problem geben sollte, wird umgehend Abhilfe geschaffen. Wäschewechsel mehrmals wöchentlich bzw. nach Bedarf.
Trotz Bergdorf wohnt man recht zentral. Zum Flughafen ca. 20 Minuten, nach Knossos, Heraklion ebenfalls, Chersonissos 25 Minuten. Lassithi-Hochebene ca. 1,5 Stunden.

Wir haben die Villa bereits weiter empfohlen bzw. während des Urlaubs (18 Tage) bereits 2 x Gäste gehabt die recht beeindruckt von der Villa, Lage, Preis etc. waren.

Fazit. Griechenland pur !!!
