1325 Pelican Watch
This first floor, end unit Pelican Watch Villa is perfectly located on Seabrook Island. Featuring one of the best panoramic views of Seabrook Island's gorgeous waterfront landscape, it also offers all the comforts of home. It has been remodeled and boasts an updated kitchen, tile flooring, and appliances. Step off the deck to the boardwalk leading to Pelican Beach. Bring your chair and a cool drink to the beach and watch the sunset turn the sky bright orange each evening. You will relax the minute you arrive at this lovely home.
The open living area is brightened by the sunlight that streams through the large windows and doors. Settle into the comfortable sofa and chair and enjoy a show or movie on the HDTV/DVD. The sofa opens to a bed to accommodate extra guests. Dine around the table that seats four while savoring the view of the water. The open kitchen ensures that even the chef can see the water's reflection. Cook on new appliances in this updated kitchen. Highlights include Corian countertops, white cabinetry, and a washer/dryer tucked in the laundry closet.
Off the hall is a full bath with a shower making it perfect for your guests. Continue down the hall to the master suite. The master bedroom has a king size bed, HDTV, and adjoining full bath with a tub/shower. Not only is this villa in the ideal location, it is also pet friendly. If you are traveling with your four legged friend, please add a $125 pet fee. Extras in the villa include wifi, linens, towels (please bring your own beach towels), and beach sand chairs.
Amenity cards giving you access to the Seabrook Island Club are not available with this villa. Passes to the Lake House facilities -- indoor/outdoor pool and fitness center -- are included in the rental (a savings of $15/person/day). Seabrook is a beautiful, uncrowded, gated island - perfect for a getaway with family and friends. There is so much to do on Seabrook. Bring your bike and peddle around the island, kayak over to the uninhabited barrier island just across the water, or walk the quiet beaches to see the dolphin frolicking just feet away. Sit on the back deck while watching the phenomenal view and sunsets or catch up with your reading. No matter how you choose to spend your day, you are guaranteed to be relaxed.
If you're looking to get away from it all - we think you've found the right place!
Enjoy gorgeous panoramic views of the Edisto River and Pelican Beach from the living area and deck of this fabulous end unit villa. Walk off the deck to the boardwalk leading to Pelican Beach. Sunsets and dolphin, shrimp boats and shore birds... the vista is amazing.
We enjoyed getting away from all of the snow, ice, and cold of the north. The view and sunsets were glorious. Plus we just like and enjoy the area. This was our sixth visit.
First, if you're not sold on Seabrook Island, it is a great, quiet island with nice homes and a natural quality to it. It's next door to more pretentious, manicured Kiawah which is good because you get to share in the neighboring shopping/dining options. This means you have the quiet solitude of Bald Head Island with good food. :) It's a family friendly place but the island is very dog-friendly even with a beach where you can let your dog off leash on the north part of the island.
This condo overlooks the Edisto River inlet which offers a less windy spot for beachgoers but with still great views. It's nice being on the lower level if you have a dog and/or if you have a lot of luggage/food stuff. The condo is obviously well appointed and perhaps even nicer than it shows in pictures. It exceeded my husband's expectations and he remarked several times how nice it was (sometimes rental beach houses can not be so nice) from the furniture to the curtains to the little details. The couch and chairs are comfy and it's great having a firm King sized bed, a washing machine and two full bathrooms. You need to bring washing detergent if you plan on doing laundry/washing towels. They did have dishwashing detergent and dryer sheets.
Since this listing and the rental materials don't list it, I will go into detail on the appointments: the kitchen has all the basics you need- dishes, pots, pans, mixing bowls, blender, wine opener, can opener, spatula, colander, kettle, etc. It does NOT have a couple basics (cookie sheet and muffin pan) or gourmet tools like a potato masher, hand whisk or garlic press. Rental places always have crappy knives so I always bring my knives with me so I can't speak to the quality. The pantry had salt, pepper, tea and some other things left behind.
They also had boogie boards, three beach chairs that you can wear as backpacks, and beach toys you can use to build a sand castle :) The only thing it didn't have was cruiser bikes, but you can rent them at the island bike shop if you want. We brought road bikes, but next time I might bring my cruiser as well. Did I mention they have dog toys and bowls? So cute!!
Wifi was included (info is on the router- ignore the rental info) and cable (though we didn't use it!) The management company was really great, friendly and helpful. They even showed up to fix the garbage disposal without us calling about it.
We really enjoyed ourselves here and look forward to coming back soon!
