THANK YOU!! Everyone who worked on the house this year thanks you for your patronage, for a full season of summer rentals---5 years in a row! ***We are continually updating everything, (having just redone the front porch of the house), so next year will be just as nice! Hope to see you!

The house is within walking distance of many things to do like--art shows, flea markets, plays, and two movie theaters! Everything is close by, and no car is needed! Many come here to partake in the spiritual programs offered by the Methodist Camp Association. Besides this, many There is such a friendly air about Ocean Grove, and its quaintness is comparable to none--with its over 1,000 victorian homes. . It is great to bike, too---you can go for many miles along the coast either way--we provide the bikes!!

I choose to buy this property because of its beauty, and the fact that it is one of the few houses in the second beach block of Ocean Grove, that has a side or back yard. There is a sense of privacy and quiet here, while you are still so close to the beach, town, and Asbury Park, too. I love the open feeling of the downstairs---the Living room is large, and so is the eat-in kitchen. The kitchen and the bathrooms are beautiful, and i have also decorated the rooms with great care.

It is great to have the option of being cool and shaded by the large maple trees on the porch. On sunny days, it is sometimes better than going to the beach! We recently have had two tiny tress grow on two other sides of the house, allowing for the bird chirps to be heard from many locations! Quickly---The side yard is a rarity in this OG beach block. Special things--2 hot water heaters, bikes, filtered water, full spectrum lighting, DVR TV, Wi-fi, garden..

You feel really taken back in time, being surrounded by the beauty of the authentic antiques and lovely wall hangings. I love the open feeling of the downstairs---the Living room is large, and so is the eat-in kitchen. The kitchen and the bathrooms are beautiful, and i have also decorated the rooms with great care. The house is only 1.5 blocks from the beach; 1 tiny block from town; 1 block from the grocery store; 4 short blocks to the Great Auditorium, and to central Asbury Park it is less than 12 minutes. Every room--lovely!!

CHARMING VICTORIAN HOME ON A QUIET BLOCK.

  • 4 of 5
The owners have furnished and maintained this home beautifully. Very clean and organized with all appliances and amenities working properly!
We were 6 people, and we had plenty of space. Spent many hours on the front porch, especially evenings.
Julie, an owner, was wonderful to work with and prompt with answering questions.
The beach is walking distance, as well as restaurants, ice cream, coffee, pizza and much more.
We would love to stay another week this summer, but Montauk, NY (east end of Long Island) is calling us. We love the shores of NJ and Long Island !!

LOVELY VICTORIAN IN CHARMING SEASIDE TOWN

  • 5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful 120 year old home. It may have been old but it has been perfectly maintained, with lots of modern amenities. Sitting on the porch or in the garden, we cooled off even after the hottest days on the beach and we took advantage of the back patio for a cookout. The kitchen is fully equipped, so we enjoyed family meals together and the living room is very comfortable for watching TV, reading or just lounging. The beach in this quaint town rivals beaches on the more popular South Jersey shore towns and Ocean Grove has them beat as far as its history goes. The historical society offers weekly walking tours which are well worth the time away from the seaside as the town has a fascinating history as an old camp-meeting. The Tabernacle is still there, in constant use, and 114 of the original tents are still occupied, with a 16-20 year waiting list of hopeful renters. The guide will usually be able to take you inside one of the tents for a fascinating look at what it may have been like in 1869 for the Methodist congregation who founded the town.
The owner was very gracious and extremely responsive, answering all our questions in a timely fashion. She was very accommodating a professional throughout the process, and we had no trouble getting in touch with her even during our stay. I would recommend this beautiful home and interesting town very highly.

AMAZING!!!

  • 5 of 5
This was our fifth year staying in Ocean Grove and our first at this house. It worked out great! We had 6 adults and 3 kids and did not feel cramped. This house was fully stocked with anything we needed. The side yard and patio were perfect for our kids to be able to play. Hope we stay here for many years to come.

PERFECT LOCATION, CLEAN, GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD!

  • 5 of 5
We rented this property for a work trip for a weekend event taking place in Asbury Park. We had 8 adults and while it was a little snug to sleep, this place was perfect! We were so close to the beach, just a block away from a convenient store and a short walk to the heart of Asbury Park.

The kitchen had everything we needed, there were lots of extra blankets and pillows plus having the two bikes was absolutely amazing! The house was spotless and any questions we had (i.e. how to connect to wifi, bike lock combinations, how to work the showers) were in a house guide left on the table or were quickly answered by the home owner.

The whole time leading up to our stay, Julie was wonderful with answering our questions and offering suggestions to make everything perfect.

It made our work trip a lot more fun and so much less stuffy than a normal hotel stay. I hope the event is held there next year, we'd rent this place again in a heartbeat!

CHARMING AND LOVELY!

  • 5 of 5
This is my first review of this beautifully appointed and charming rental! I stayed here a couple of years ago and just loved the Victorian influence of Ocean Grove. It is so close to the city and yet the air is so clean. With the ocean just a block away, sleeping is always easy.

I noticed on our recent stay that Julie, the owner, has continued to upgrade her space which I thought was already above the standard of most beach houses that I have stayed in. The furniture is like your own living room - not beach or camp style like so many places are. It was also very convient to have a full size kitchen and washer dryer and everything is super clean!

Everything in the house has been upgraded yet still has an "old flavor" feel to it. You will love this place. There is plenty of privacy with the up/down shades and there is also an outdoor shower which was great to clean off in after the beach.

It is a quick walk to town where there are so many activities and new specialty stores including a wonderful bakery and artisan boutiques. Asbury Park is the next town over with lots of exciting things to do.

We will definitely be renting again this summer. Thanks Julie! :)

WONDERFUL HOME AND LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
I enjoyed so much staying in this house. The rooms are very charmingly decorated
and the colors are peaceful and soothing--the perfect atmosphere for a beach getaway.
The town of Ocean Grove is ideal for a stroll down streets lined with Victorian houses.
And a bike ride to nearby places like Spring Lake can be memorable.
I would highly recommend this house not only for its comfort and pleasant
atmosphere, but for its convenient location. Main Street is very close
if one is interested in a coffee shop or restaurant but the house is situated
so that the main traffic from town does not mar the peace. Five stars in my book.

There is also the patio, and areas with plants, and flowers, around the perimeter of most of the property. There is an extra- large toaster oven, which heats things in the conventional, standard fashion. The new washer and dryer are located, in the basement with 8 new windows. There is also ample room for storage, there. I, or an assistant, will be available for your questions about the area, and to greet you.
