Clean, Spacious, Perfect Location w/ Beach Access...a Wonderful Vacation Home
Just returned from a week long stay at Sandy's retreat with a group of 10 young professionals in their 20's. We were nothing but impressed with the accommodations across every aspect. There was ample room for 10 of us (could have easy slept 12) and the upper and lower units were separate enough that you could stay here with two families/groups. The lower unit also has a full kitchen so the double appliances came in handy when storing groceries and cooking, etc. Overall, the house was very spacious and did not feel crowded at all even with 10 people hanging out in the upper unit the majority of the time. The bathrooms and decor look more modern/up to date in-person than they appear in the pictures and were all very clean and nicely laid out. The upper wrap around screened in porch or backyard tiki hut make for a wonderful place to sit and kick back with coffee in the morning, happy hour in the afternoon, or a night cap after a long-evening. The setting on the canal was serene, peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. As far as location goes, you cannot beat it. We rented a boat for 3 days and had very quick direct access to the bay which was also very close to Atlantic access. We saw sea turtles, dolphins, and caught many fish from our rental boat during our stay. The private beach access was by far the nicest beach I have seen in the Keys (not known for beaches). The water is super shallow for a long ways out which makes for a great place to play catch, sit in the water, and lounge for the day. Scattered palm trees on the shore also provided a source of shade for those who sought it.
Our entire group would highly recommend this property for your next trip to the FL Keys. We will certainly return if given the opportunity.
