This cozy, lakeside cottage with a wrap-around deck is nestled in a wooded cove with a gorgeous view. Pets are NOT allowed. The water off the private dock teems with bream, crappie, bass, and catfish, while a spacious lakeside lawn offers opportunities for croquet, horseshoes, and basketball. Located in the Midlands of South Carolina, the cottage is 12 miles from historic (Revolutionary War) and steeplechase-rich Camden and 30 miles from the state capital of Columbia. Within minutes you can find shopping, touring, horseback riding, and movie-going opportunities. The area also offers excellent restaurants, sightseeing and museum opportunities. Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, rated one of the nation's ten best, is only an hour away. The Midlands area also is only a two-hour's drive to both the Carolina coast and mountains, as well as a two-hour's drive to historic Charleston, home of the recently resurrected Confederate submarine Hunley.

    $150/night (Friday & Saturday) (2 night minimum required on weekends).
    Linens furnished for a small fee, but prefer guests bring their own.
    Half the rental fee is required upon making reservation, with the balance
    expected 10 days before arrival unless otherwise agreed to in advance.
    Payments by check or money order to be mailed (owner will give you the address).
