Wow - where to start?? We had an absolutely wonderful week at this property. The owner has gone to great lengths to provide everything anyone could possibly want in a lakefront vacation property, and was very helpful in advance, answering my many questions. We had previously rented beach houses in NC, but never in this "neck of the woods". The design of the home and the decor was flawless. Brand new appliances, new dock, bunco-raft, kayaks, all the amenities...the pictures don't do it justice. Gorgeous views, sunsets, lush wooded surroundings on a quiet picturesque lake (do bring the bug spray-damp this year!). We especially enjoyed hearing loons. Didn't have to haul bedding, linens, beach towels, pots/pans, small appliances, games, puzzles ...everything is already there! Even a full cupboard of spices! Our group made good use of the pool/ping pong room in the basement, the great sound system, the reading room, the expansive front porch, gas grill out back, and roasted marshmallows down by the dock. A newly built home and a newly renovated cabin (side by side) provided housing for our family of 9. We ate dinner at Poor People's Pub in Sanbornville, our first night; food and service were great! Lots to do in the Lakes region;and within an hours' drive the Atlantic Ocean, Maine, Lake Winnepesaukee, hiking, jet-skiing, sight-seeing, whale watching, antiquing and more. We did get tired of driving...too much to explore in one short week! A very relaxing environment...something for everyone! Would definitely recommend it for families. It was our first trip to New Hampshire, and probably not our last!
