Welcome to Sandpiper Palm Desert, with the look of the desert's Mid-Century Modern Architecture coupled with designer furnishings and amenities. This Sandpiper condo is located on El Paseo Drive, where you are surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty, and walking distance to fabulous restaurants (Mastro’s, Eddie V’s, Pacifica, Back Street Bistro, Jillian’s, Armandos, Tommy Bahama) shops, and galleries.

The floor plan makes the unit seem more like a home than a condo. Every room has a wall of glass and the views are superb; the main living area overlooks the sparkling pool that is kept at a comfortable 84* in the winter. The pool area boasts a magnificent mountain view, along with a ramada with BBQ, shuffleboard, and putting green.

The master bedroom, dining room, and guest bedroom open onto a sizeable private courtyard with mountain views. There are seating and dining areas in the courtyard.

All rooms have been painted and decorated with colorful artwork, and furnishings. The Master and Bedroom #2 have a king size bed, Bedroom #3 has 2 twin extra-long beds. There is carpet in the bedrooms and porcelain wood-grain plank in all other areas.

The kitchen is fully equipped and all linens are provided. This is truly "home away from home"!

In addition to all the activity walking distance on El Paseo, you are close to championship golf courses, tennis, and attractions such as the Living Desert, McCallum Theatre, and the Acrisure Arena, the 11000+ seat venue for music/entertainment and new home to the Coachella Valley Firebirds hockey team.

A Wonderful Holiday in the Desert

We really enjoyed our holiday in Palm Desert. Roger and Maureen's condo worked out very well for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. The location suited our needs perfectly. Shopping was close by as were opportunities to go hiking in the mountains. Being near Highway111 made driving to tourist attractions and to restaurants easily accessible. Even though the condo complex was near a major intersection, it was a very quiet place with beautiful grounds and heated swimming pool. At the Condo, Roger and Maureen provided tourist materials and a list of restaurants which were most helpful to us. My husband was impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was and both the children and their parents enjoyed the wide screen TVs. Last but not least, the weather in late December was great with plenty of sunshine and moderate temperatures. Thank you Roger and Maureen for helping us make this a special holiday for our family.

Great Spot at Sandpiper

We have a big family that all came to the desert. The condo was exactly what we needed. It was clean and well stocked and everybody enjoyed themselves. We will rent it again!

A wonderful place in a great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay Sandpiper. The accommodation was very clean, well stocked with everything you would need. The rooms are large and there is lots of room for a larger group. The condo is located very close to the pool as well - easy access! We recommend this location to everyone - you will love it!

Very spacious

We enjoyed the large kitchen. The beds were comfortable. Everything pretty dated. The outdoor area was totally covered in desert dirt. We could not use the pool for 2 days as it was needed to be cleaned. A little disappointing on the whole. It was a great location however.

Great lay out, very spacious, clean and well stocked

My favorite part is the beautiful complex with gorgeous landscaping and pools. What a perfect location for relaxing with coffee in the morning. We appreciate the quiet time and early bed times. The condo had everything we needed and lots of versatile sleeping options for our small children. Thank you for having us!

Maureen and Roger share their time between Phoenix, Palm Desert & Maui. We love the sun, golf, architecture, and community amenities of each location! Having been owners in Sandpiper since 1997, we have enjoyed seeing that years of development in the area has still preserved the “small town feel” of the Coachella Valley. We offer our homes in Palm Desert and Maui as vacation rentals, and offer a discount to guests who use both condos. The Maui rental can be viewed on www.cbislandvacations/Unit/Detail/141156 . Four married daughters along with 15 grandchildren, keep us busy and on the road during the year. Maureen is a graduate of Glassboro Sate College (now Rowen University) and Roger graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Roger is a retired Army Aviator/Intelligence Officer and active Real Estate Broker. Maureen is retired from careers in Interior Design and Healthcare.

Why they chose this property

Stepping through the front door in 1997 and this was it! The high ceilings and walls of glass make us feel we are living indoor/outdoor. Other than a short drive to golf courses, etc., we love that we can park our car the day we arrive and walk to the grocery store across the street, all the shops, galleries, and restaurants on El Paseo, the mall 2 blocks away, or just grab a drink and a book & lounge by the pool.

What makes this property unique

The beauty of the Coachella Valley is magical. We love that we can sit on our patio enjoying breakfast, play golf in shorts year-round, take a ride up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and hike or walk in the snow….all on the same day!
