Photos and Description of the Kennebunkport vacation rental 2 bedrooms, sleeps five, one full bath with shower

Curran House is on Maine St. in the village of Kennebunkport. It is an easy walk to the post office, the village center, library, shops and galleries, the village green and about a mile and a half to the Colony beach. Curran House has two bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen and a single bed for a child. Downstairs is a living room, dining room, kitchen and full bath with a shower. The house has a patio with a grill and a nice backyard with woods beyond. Maine St. is one of the prettiest streets in Kennebunkport with historic homes, tree shaded sidewalk and an historic library which was once a custom house for ship's bounty. A few times daily a horse and buggy pass by Curran House touring guests viewing the highlights of Kennebunkport. Next to our house is our large barn where our guests can store their bikes, kayaks and beach gear. We provide maps of the area, lists of things to do, names of good local restaurants, beach passes and lots of books and magazines.

Kennebunkport is the summer home of President George Bush and his family. The village has a shipping history that goes back to the 1700s and beautiful old architecture. Kennebunkport is on a tidal river that flows out to sea and it has two protected ports: the Kennebunk river and Cape Porpoise harbor. Fishing, lobster and pleasure boats fill the river and harbor. There are miles of sandy beaches, a rocky coast with beautiful coastal walks and roads, summer theater, art galleries, chic shops, lots of restaurants, antiques and a quaint old village. There are two golf courses to choose from and many tennis courts.
