The house is located 400 meters from the center of Port des Torrent on a road to the bays of Cala Bassa, Cala Comte, Cala Tarida etc. It has its own well and a generous pool (ca. 5 x 10 meters). The house has two double rooms, two bathrooms, a hall, terraces, a salon with fireplace, dining room and kitchen. The fireplace as well as the electric heating and air conditioning (sleeping and living rooms) serve for a pleasant climate over the whole year. A family run supermarket only 100 meters away offers a wide spectrum to food, vegetables, fruits, fresh bread and cake as well as meat and sausages. There also is a cafeteria just beside the supermarket, which offers little snacks as well as various breakfasts for guests with whom the kitchen once remains cold.

Port of the Torrent lies opposite San Antonio and is part of the big bay of Portmany - far enough removed from the local center San Antonio in order not to disturb by noise pollution through the local, lively driving. There is a small beach in the bay. Other beaches and discos are to be reached from the beach of Port des Torrent, however, with bus and boat services. The Mediterranean climate of the Balearic Islands guarantees for mild winters and hot summers so that one can enjoy the marvelous beaches through the whole year in different way - even the months of February and March with the famous 'almond blossom' offer optimal recovery and invite to excursions or walks. In this case you nearly will have the island for yourself.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The prices are all inclusive, i.e. including energy, weekly and final cleaning of house and pool as well as weekly change of linen. Single days will be charged with 220 or 250 Euro s per day, for example, at modified arrival/ departure on other week days than Saturday, because there will arise unpreferred empty times through interruption of the rent rotation.
  • A safety amount of 300,00 Euros cash per stay has to be deposited. The deposit will be repaid at shortcomings-free handing back of the house or after the invoicing of phone/fax fees (if used by the guests).
  • From November 2009 till March 2010 alternatively to weekly renting 'long time' stays (minimum 4 weeks) are possible under the following special conditions: 400,00 Euro per week. Electricity, gas, water and possible cleaning will be charged extra.

Notes: The furnitures and arrangement of the house were created by the owners for its own use and therefore can be considered as individual and tasteful. Most of our guests consider the establishment as 'above average'. The owners are very interested in keeping this estimation. The heating occurs via electric radiators in every room and an additional air condition unit (thermostat) in the living room, which guarantee a comfortable temperature. By the way, what should not be actually on vacation, but sometimes, however, not to avoid: With an own laptop and UM TS - card a fast and problem-free connection is possible home and/or to the job (very good reception). If required a fax machine can be provided in addition. Possibility for various breakfast variants for every taste and appetite exists in the Cafeteria Es Cuco (approx. 100 meters away).

PECULIARITIES - ATTENTION - SECURITY: The holiday house has its own well. A thorough introduction on site in English is possible (also in detail printed in advance). Also during the stay local support and help is possible at any time. The plot is completely fenced in and put a lock-up gate. The holiday house and your property are protected against unauthorized access by an alarm system with connection of a professional security enterprise.

RENT-A-CAR / MOTOR-CYCLES / BIKES: Renting of cars with airport-service (handing-over and return at the airport), motor-cycles as well as mountain bikes can be procured on site at favorable terms. Some 'standard' bikes are available after advance notice. Ibiza has several hundred kilometers of cycle tours signposted over the complete island since some time.

BOAT TURNS WITH A LLAUT: There is a possibility of (day) turns with a classic 'Llaut' (Balearic fishing boat with engine) in the idyllic bathing-bays and to the off-shore islands as well as for fishing. The excursions are carried out according to agreement with the boat owner and/or his friend. Snack and drinks can be organized. The costs follow the wanted extent and the length of a turn.

Golf: There is still only one golf course (18 and 9 holes) available, the Club of Golf Ibiza, at the old coast road between Ibiza City and Santa Eulalia at Roca Llisa. At working days the place is open also for guests. The Green-fees are 90,00 Eur (accompanied children - 15 years: 20,00 - youths - 21: 36,00 EUR) and the electric car at the moment 40,00 Euro (State: 2004). We have used Can Bigotes for several years now and we class this as our second home. The owners are kind and considerate and always helpful. The property, although not huge is lovely, its clean, well maintained, its secure, alarmed and has large gated drive and security lighting outside. It has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms are cool with A/C, the living area although not massive is still a decent size - we spent most nights sitting at the outdoor table overlooking the pool and there is a great BBQ spot next to the sitting area. From the roof you watch beautiful sunsets and for being sutyated next to a road, its still a pretty peaceful villa. You are a 2 min walk from an excellent shop/cafe behind the property, and if you walk down from the villa to the main road, there are a choice of cafe's and shops for anything you might needand a couple of bars . You dont really need a car for this villa either, as its a 5 min walk to the main road where there are buses to San An Bay, Port es Torrent, Cala de Bou and San An, From San An harbour, you can get a bus to Ibiza Town and then discover the east of the Island. Having a car something to consider however, as you can get to some of the most amazing beaches which are a 10 min drive from this villa, and of course you can take leisurely drives around the Island during your stay and find some beautiful unspoilt beaches, villages to visit for lunch etc.,

I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa.

My one downside would be if you had very small children, the garden from the house to the pool is on uneven ground and the pool is ungated, but most people use their common sense with children around so I am sure it would be fine

Einfach schön!
Waren nun schon das dritte mal da und es ist immer wieder schön. In der Nähe befinden sich schöne Buchten, sehr gute Resturante. Um die Ecke gleich ein Supermarkt, wo es die besten Crossant gibt.
Der Besitzer ist sehr nett,hilfsbereit und immer zur Stelle wenn man ein Anliegen hat.
Wir kommen wieder!

Wir kommen schon viele Jahre, weil wir das perfekt eingerichtete saubere Haus auf dem grosszügigen Grundstück mit Baumbestand und vielen Pflanzen schätzen. Am Pool lässt es sich gut verweilen, aber auch die Badebuchten sind schnell erreichbar. Sehr empfehlenswert, wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Urlaub bei euch.
