Depoe Bay has some very favorite restaurants, including Tidal Raves and the Italian Riviera and very enjoyable shopping in downtown Depoe Bay and the Tanger Outlet Mall in Lincoln City. Located between Lincoln City and Newport, Depoe Bay, with its amazing waves crashing against the rocks, is one of the most breathtaking beautiful places to stay on the Central Oregon Coast.

We couldn't have asked for much more. The condo was nicely furnished and supplied. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well set-up for cooking, and the living room was perfect for lounging and looking out at the view. And what a view!! We saw whales out our living room window, every single day we were there. The whole place was so quiet and peaceful--we hardly knew we had neighbors (and since it was memorial Day weekend, we definitely did have them!) "Downtown" Depoe Bay is a couple of minutes away, and Newport just a short drive down the road. Of course, it still took us all afternoon to get there, because we had to stop at every vista point to gaze at the views. I would love to go back, again and again. Thanks so much!!
My wife and I stayed at this property for three nights in September. It's a condo on the ground floor of a two story building. The building is located within thirty feet of the edge of where the rocky coastline begins. The living area faces the ocean and the two bedrooms face inland. It's a great location for watching whales, and we even saw a few come close in to shore--close enough that when they spouted you could hear it! However, the sliding glass door needs to have a screen installed. When we first arrived we found a crane fly and a couple moths in the living room. Our first night, when I was up late watching tv, a mouse ran across the living room and into the rock fireplace. Being a former pest control technician I wasn't freaked out, just surprised; my wife, on the other hand, was a bit more agitated and I had to talk her down from demanding a refund and leaving. Upon inspecting the condo I determined that there was only one mouse present at the moment, and it likely got in when a previous renter left the sliding door (with no screen) open too late into the evening. I let the owner/manager know about the mouse and told them I'd deal with it, but advised that it would be a good idea to install a screen on the sliding door to avoid this issue in the future. The only way to cool off the living room when it heats up on a sunny afternoon is to open the sliding door. The one small floor-level window doesn't do much, if anything to cool the place off. Anyway,I picked up some traps in town and caught the mouse, problem solved. We never asked for any discount on our stay but the manager/owner did tell us we could stay til early evening on our check out day, instead of checking out at 11am. Over all this is a nice place, and I would consider staying here again, but only after a screen is installed on the sliding glass door.
Depoe Bay is the smallest port town in Oregon. It's filled with fun shops and whale watching excursions along with some great deep sea fishing. Depoe Bay is where you catch your boat. The ocean can be calm or wild and the view is from everywhere in town.
