Welcome to Paris !
I'm 45-year old and I've been living in Paris for the past 25 years, after starting my career in England and then moving into Asia.
My family has been living in the 16th 'arrondissement (Trocadéro, Victor Hugo, Passy) since 1987. We enjoy this area because there is a lot of space and quietness with many large avenues compounded with trees and gardens. Look at Google Earth ! There is no other part of Paris like our area. Also, though it seems to be a bit far from the historical center, you can actually get to any point of interest very easily with the metro, the bus..or by foot ! And, at night, after a day of sightseeing or working, you will enjoy going back to this quiet and 'chic' district... Believe me...
We enjoy living in this distinctive townhouse made of red bricks : it looks like the typical manor you can find near Deauville... Plus, the entrance via the garden is very pleasant.
I hope you'll feel like to visit us !
Phil purchased this apartment in 2001
I welcome my friends and guests from all over the world who prefer luxury, convenient and quiet places to crowded and unpersonal hotels.
Definitively, the apartment opens on a wonderful garden, totally quiet and refreshing during hot months. But, when you get out of the property, you are at the heart of the best located part of the 16th district, between luxury residential areas and lively shopping streets, like rue de Passy, avenue Victor Hugo etc.
And the Eiffel tower stands in front of you, at a 3' minute walk from you apartment: why not going out to admire it glittering at night, just before a good sleep ?
A lovely, quiet, centrally located apartment. Clean and simply decorated - so nice to return to such a peaceful place after a hectic day of sightseeing in Paris. The view of trees and birds out of the upstairs bedroom windows is a great way to wake up. My questions were answered immediately and everything that was promised was delivered. Good restaurants and shops right around the corner, market, metro stops - a perfect place to stay in Paris.
Great location, near Trocadero and Victor Hugo metro stops. Eiffel Tower within walking distance. Two of us stayed for two weeks. Very quiet and secure, apartment is off street on a garden courtyard. Was able to sleep wight the windows open. Wake up to singing birds in the morning. Owner, who lives up stairs, was proactive about answering questions. Apartment has two levels, lots of space. Downstairs is kitchenette and living room areas. Upstairs is bedroom and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Washer and dryer are quite new and worked great. Lots of convenient restaurants and a large grocery store in the neighborhood. The only negative I can think of is a group of homeless men drinking all day long every day within a couple of blocks of the apartment. They seemed pretty harmless. I would definitely recommend this apartment for an extended stay in Paris
I have stayed at this apartment twice and hope there will be a return visit! It feels like a home away from home. The moment you enter the garden you know you are in a special place. It is so quiet and peaceful that it's hard to believe you're in the heart of Paris. The apartment itself is beautifully and simply furnished, clean, roomy, and secure. The kitchen and laundry facilities are easy to use. It has easy access to shopping for everyday needs and to metro and bus transportation. There is a wonderful small market across the street 3 days a week. You can easily walk to the Trocadero/Tour Eiffel or the Arc de Triomphe. Having M. Paquet on site is a huge advantage and he, the neighbors and local shop owners are all very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this apartment.
We stayed in the apartment for 11 nights and every evening after a day full of sightseeing, we felt like we were returning home. Worked out wonderfully for us, awesome location, easy to get to Metro station, lots of local eateries and delightful restaurants. Apartment was clean and comfortable bed. Kitchen has all of the supplies that one might need and grocery store is a short distance away. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would love to return and stay there again!
I spent 4 nights in the apartment in late April. The space is as described. The rooms are large and well decorated. Everything works as it should - coffee machine, washer dryer, etc. Everything. Phillipe, the owner, was gracious and helpful. The garden is quite charming and even though the weather during my visit was unseasonably cold, I spent a couple of hours one afternoon outside sipping a glass of wine and using the internet (the wireless signal reaches outside). All in all, and excellent choice.
We were so fortunate to find this lovely 2 floor apartment in the upscale neighborhood of the sixteenth. Philippe's adult son was very welcoming upon arrival. Sometimes we cooked in the well stocked kitchen & sometimes we ate out (try La Solana on Mesnil for tartes & salads) but we walked for miles every day! You can reach every destination in Paris using the convenient metro stations a few blocks from your door. We hope to return to this romantic retreat whenever possible.
