Peek views to harbor, walk to the village, lobster wharf, marina and the stop for Island wide free shuttle buses. Close to trails in Acadia, canoe rental, swimming. On the quiet side yet only 15 miles to downtown Bar Harbor, the Ocean Drive and Cadillac Mountain. 32 HDTV, WiFi, dishwasher, washer and dryer.

Southwest Harbor is a beautiful village on Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park trails are as close an 2 miles on this side of the Island, Bass Harbor light 2 miles, Seawall 2 miles and so many beautiful coves and woods to explore. as well as crystal clear freshwater lakes for form fishing & swimming. Southwest Harbor is called the quiet side because there is less hustle and bustle and traffic than Bar harbor. Although Bar harbor is a must see and is only 15 miles away.

We had a wonderful vacation in Maine, we stayed at The Low Tide in Southwest Harbor. It was a great place, very clean with nice furnishings. Everything was provided for us except food. We could walk everywhere in Town and take the free shuttle bus all over the Island and the park. The owner gave us a free weeks pass to Acadia National Park, plus left us trail maps and brochures about whale watching, resturants etc. The Park was so much fun, we hiked and swam and had lots of fun. We hope to go back in the fall this year and will stay here again.
