The Palace on Dam Square or the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street are also within easy reach, either on foot, by bike or tram. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a Saturday morning, or the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt. A short stroll away is the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks.
