Authentic two bedroom canal house, in the Jordaan area in Amsterdam, for up to four people.
If you are looking for the opportunity to sample a real taste of Dutch living, then this is the house for you. Situated over five floors, it is not for the faint hearted (the stairs are steep and narrow), but this fantastic accommodation is worth every step! The first floor living area is a stylish mix of modern, and original seventeenth century elements. It is spacious too, with enough room for a comfortable double sofa bed and two lounge seats. The large windows are great, providing not only light, but a wonderful view of busy
Dutch canal life. If that does not keep you entertained, there is also a flat-screen television, DVD player and free Wireless internet. The kitchen and dining area are in the basement. The kitchen is fully equipped, with all you need for your stay in Amsterdam, including a fridge, a microwave, hob, oven and dishwasher. There is also a dining table with 6 chairs, to sit and enjoy the fruits of your labour. The master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom (with bath and shower), is located on the second floor. With its wooden beams, it is a lovely space to lie back and relax after a busy day of sightseeing.The second bedroom, with double bed, is on the third floor. And, if you are looking for that something extra…in the beautiful fourth floor loft, there is a fantastic two-person whirlpool. Enjoy the views over Amsterdam, whilst relaxing in the bubbles! This house, with its 100m2, is a great base for your stay. With its many period features, and some very special extras, it truly is a gem. There can be a babycot requested which is 35 euro extra.

Located in the heart of the trendy Jordaan district, with its eclectic collection of boutiques, cafés and restaurants, this house is a perfect base from which to explore the city (and its nightlife).
The “Negen straatjes” (9 streets), home to many of Amsterdam’s exciting smaller boutiques, are just a short walk away. The Palace on Dam Square, the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street and the calm of the Vondel park are also within easy reach, either on foot, by bike or tram. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a Saturday morning, or the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt. A fifteen minute stroll away (or 5 minute tram ride) is the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks. Something for every taste!
For those of you who want to venture a little further afield, hop on one of the many trams to take you across Amsterdam. The main train station, Central Station, is also just a stone’s throw away.
