Great place and location

This was a great place for four adults and three kids (10, 11, and 12). Excellent location close to subways. Spacious apartment, clean, and exactly as advertised. Complaints? We occasionally heard the base thumping of music from another apartment, they didn't leave enough towels for seven people, and the front bedroom curtains were damaged, but these were minor issues.
Elveara, who checked us in, was friendly and gave some helpful advice on sights and getting around NYC. The apartment was comfortable, secure, and ideally located for our activities. There is an elevator just across the hall. There are dishes, silverware, and some supplies. Prior renters had left unused supplies and snacks, and we did the same when we left. The washer/dryer came in handy. I would definitely stay there again with the same number of people.
An earlier reviewer recommended taking the subway across the east river to Brooklyn and walking back on the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade. So, we did that our first night, and it was a spectacular way to see the city skyline, the harbor, the Statue of Liberty, and to look back at Brooklyn. Do it after sunset. You can find information online about it, and use Google maps to preview where to get onto the walkway. The apartment is a few blocks from the Manhattan end of the bridge.
There was a $500 security deposit paid through PayPal. They refunded it the day after we checked out. All in all, this was a great experience. I recommend the apartment and the people that we dealt with.
