Additional information about rental rates

  • All rates are in CAD$
  • Rates:
    Spring: June 1 - June 26 $800/week $3,000/month
    Peak: June 27- August 29 $1,400/week $5,000/month
    Fall: August 30 - October 17 $800/week $3,000/month

    Taxes: GST 5% and PST (10% on sale plus GST) are added to rental rates.
    i.e. $1,400 + $70 GST (5%) + $147 PST (10% on sale plus GST) = $1,617 TOTAL

    how Tax is calculated:
    Legislation requires that the PST be shown separately from the sale amount or any other amount charged on all sales documentation. The 10% PST is added at the point of sale, and applied after the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is added to the price. For example:

    Amount of Sale $100.00
    GST (5%) $5.00
    Sub-Total $105.00
    PST (10%) $10.50
    Total Payable $115.50
  • A security/damage deposit of $200 is required upon check-in. This deposit is not applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within 0-5 days of departure, provided the provisions are met.

    Deposit:
    Booking Deposit: $500 due at time of booking. Remaining total + taxes due at time of checkin

    A 60 day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made within 60 days prior to arrival will NOT incur a penalty and deposit will be returned immediately. Full cancellations (or changes that result in a shorter stay) that are not made within 60 days forfeit full advance payment of $500 (unless we can re-rent it ... in which case we will refund 100% deposit).

My husband and I stayed here and absolutely loved it! The cottage is delightful and very clean. Loved the beautiful sandy beach that was by the cottage about 2 minutes walk. Stunning. Relaxing. Peaceful. I would highly recommend this lovely cottage for a romantic getaway or with a family with children. Fresh and delicious seafood shopping is nearby as well as excellent golf courses.

GREAT SPOT

The property was exactly as pictured on the internet- no surprises! The cottage was nice and clean, well stocked with kitchen essentials. It was a short walk to the water which had a lovely wide, sandy beach flanked by stunning red cliffs. Excellent friendly service was provided by the property manager. Fairly central location-- short drives to island tourist spots. Would absolutely recommend this rental to a friend.

The house is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you can possibly think of (no Internet though). It' s only a five minute walk to one of the best beaches we have seen on PEI.

We had a wonderful time!

This was our first visit to PEI and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Saltscapes. It's a wonderful cottage - well-maintained, nicely appointed and just steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches that we've ever visited. In addition, it's located in a very pleasant, family-oriented community. We met loads of friendly people there and hope to return again next year.

Great place for a summer vaction by the beach

We spent a week in August 2009, two families with a total of 7 people. We all had one of the best times in PEI and the cottage was definitely a contributing factor! Lovely rooms with lots of light, extremely functional kitchen with everything provided. Comfortable beds and pillows. Everything in the cottage was set up anticipating your needs during a week at a beach side cottage. Beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. We loved sitting on the deck in the mornings, having our coffee and breakfast in the warm sun. The beach is lovely and a short 5 minute walk. We loved our vacation.
