My family and I stayed here for a week to celebrate my 40th birthday and could not have been more happy with our choice! Inside and out this property is very inviting, well appointed, spacious and clean. It was great to have onsite laundry too!

The patio is nice, spacious and had plenty of seating. The only thing missing was a pool but hey...beaches are close enough. Francie (owner) and Margarita (housekeeper) were delightful and easygoing.

We had easy access to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Inglewood, Santa Monica, LAX and other places. The neighborhood was charming and felt like home. The street seems tucked away but it's parallel to La Brea so LA is really at you doorstep.It was also nice to see other industry people enjoying their day without crazed fans and paparazzi hounding.

Oh, Francie even thought to get a discount card for Ralph's (grocery store) which is a stone's throw away, as is Trader Joe's. Super Wal-Mart is another story though: the nearest Super store is about an hour away.

Our first day Francie recommended Cafe Midi for dinner and it was a hit! Please try it.You can walk which is a bonus. It looks like a pottery shop but the restaurant is in the back. My sister and I are still craving it!

There were very few negatives about our stay and they pale in comparison to our overall experience. One was dog droppings in the patio area not picked up for a couple of days and another was the parking permit had been "lost" by a previous guest so we had to park in the gated driveway which is narrow. We were in an SUV so it was tight. If you parked on the street without the permit you had to move every two hours. The driveway wasn't a BIG deal and wasn't their fault, but worth mentioning. Permits are very difficult to replace.

So...if you're going to LA for work or play this is a great retreat. You'll feel at home and relaxed. We are relocating from the East Coast and will probably stay here again as we scout housing.
