Not accurate!!

I had posted this review earlier and it was on the website for several months, but has now mysteriously disappeared!!
This alone has prompted me to lower the rating a notch.
First, I must say - - the condo is lovely - - clean, very comfortable, nicely furnished, and fully supplied with high-quality linens and towels.
Unfortunately, the location was not at all as illustrated on the website. From the picture posted and the description “We are bordered on two sides by the world famous Makai golf course” we expected the condo (not the complex) to be directly on the golf course. We arrived to find the condo bordered on two sides by neighboring condos, on the third side by other condos a few yards away, and on the fourth side by the parking lot complete with two dumpsters - - not exactly a golf course view.
The website also boasted a garage, screened-porch/lanai, and private pool. None of these exist.
Finally, we had a rather unpleasant series of email correspondence with the owner over a very trivial matter. The website stated Laundry Soap was provided. When we arrived there was none. As instructed in a pre-arrival email, we called the housekeeper to ask for some. She said we should purchase it ourselves. Thinking the owner might want to be aware of this, we emailed her. She became quite defensive and rude, and in her reply said it would be “impossible to determine” how long a renter would be staying and therefore she would have no way of knowing how much to provide. Obviously, this was all very clearly spelled out and agreed upon in the required contract and full prepayment tendered two months prior to arrival.
Given the deceptive physical representation and the caustic reaction of the owner, we cannot recommend this property.

I am responding to the one review written about a private pool, no garage, a screened porch and no laundry detergent.
I have 3 1/2 years of email testimonials which I can forward to anyone who requests them. I have so many repeat guests every year it keeps me going but I would like to correct this incorrect one. I will only address those issues brought up that are incorrect.
The porches have lovely screens that can be pulled completely down. There is a parking space, not a garage and the pool is splashing distance away for everyone.
The ONE error was that the cleaning lady forgot laundry detergent for the first time in 3 1/2 years. The guest called me on I immediately contacted the cleaning service. (by the way, the phone number for the cleaning service ad property manager are supplied when booking). The cleaning lady felt awful and said to me that she would bring some over in less than 30 minutes and apologized profusely. I called the guest said it was no problem and that, "Thank you again. As you know - - even a slightly inconvenient day on Kauai is better than the best at home! And the condo is absolutely lovely!"
I hope you all have a chance to visit and I will suggest to my future guests to leave reviews so you can see how many wonderful times my guests have had. Many are repeat guests and I hope you will be too! Mahalo!
