This is the ONLY property we rent and we personally take all the time and pride to care for it.

Your NEW PARADISE FOUND in Treasure Island is situated DIRECTLY on the beach and is in SOUTH BEACH CONDO HOTEL. This is a CORNER unit on the 5th floor you can enjoy stunning views from every single room over the white sandy beaches to the Gulf of Mexico. No other building or palm tree or even a street lamp will obstruct your view.

This is A SMOKE-FREE BUILDING and we GO GREEN in many ways.We RECYCLE also.

We refurnished the whole condo in 2012 and always update it with new appliances and new bedding. We take care of your vacation home personally, including the CLEANING and I IRON the linen myself.

In February 2013 we had a whole new kitchen with new cabinets installed.

Owners: Peter and Monika Gewecke: We are the owners since 2006 and since then we manage and rent our condo only ourselves. No Management is involved.

The building itself was constructed in 2000/2001 and remodelled and updated in 2005. There are all together 40 units on six floors, but only 10 corner units with 2 bed/2 bathrooms with 925 sq Ft and a big balcony to accommodate 6 guests.

Amenities in WALKING DISTANCE: This CORNER vacation condo is situated DIRECTLY on the BEACH on the 5th floor and look at the photos, this is what you really see sitting on the balcony from where you can enjoy the most ROMANTIC SUNSETS.

On April 06, 2013, The New Beach Trail was opened. The new $ 1,2 million trail now meanders through Treasure Island's dune system parallel to the Gulf of Mexico behind our condo building, with more than 20 beach access nodes along the path linked to street entrances along Gulf Boulevard. Turtle-friendly lighting lines the trail and decorative nautical images are embedded, through a sandblasting technique, into the tan and ruby-red concrete. One of the best features of the new trail is the sand wall, capped with a bench top, which provides a nealry milelong seat along the Gulf of Mexico.

You can walk along water's edge to famous JOHN'S PASS VILLAGE with all the diversity you can imagine; many different RESTAURANTS, a Gamble Ship, para-gliding or para-sailing, boat- or water scooter rentals and you can even rent a bicycle and explore the neighborhood.

On the beach with MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT is 'Sloppy Joes' and different pizzerias, cafes and more restaurants.

PUBLIX opened a new store for groceries and everything you need for a relaxed vacation here in Treasure Island..

New restaurants opened in walking distance and also a New BEACH SHOP with an Ice cream parlor. A BUS STOP is on Gulf Boulevard close by and you are invited to take a stroll by bus from CLEARWATER BEACH to PASS-A-GRILL, approx. 35 miles along our beaches for about $ 1.50 per person..

Attractions in DRIVING DISTANCE : If you like to explore the CITY OF ST. PETERSBURG, we recommend to drive to the PIER, about 25 minutes from your vacation condo. At the end of the PIER stands a very unique building with five floors - it looks like a reverse PYRAMID. Unfortunately, in our personal opinion, this building will be torn down on May 01, 2013.

Also in downtown are different very interesting Museums,i.e. the NEW DALI Museum, the NEW CHIHULY Glass blowing COLLECTION and the History Museum with the FIRST COMMERCIAL AIRLINE in the United States flying across Tampa Bay in 1921 between St. Petersburg and Tampa. The INTERNATIONAL ART MUSEUM with a coffee shop just opened a new wing, overlooking Tampa Bay. There is Straub Park to stroll along and you find many new and exquisite shops, small galleries, cafes and restaurants to sit outside - just get the Floridian Feeling! DALE CHIHULY opened an exquisite gallery only with his outstanding glass works.

A Day Trip would be to drive over to Tampa and visit Tampa Aquarium, Busch Gardens with all the exciting adventures, Lowry Zoo or further to Orlando with the Disney Attractions.

About Monika and Peter Gewecke

We are a family of four and are originally from Germany. When Peter retired in 1994, we decided to replace our home in Germany/ Berlin and Duesseldorf, and live here in Florida, in Treasure Island. Peter is my husband of almost 45 years, now I am the smallest in the family, as you can see in this photo taken in 2012. Markus is our older son and Stefan is our younger son. Only Peter and I live here and our sons and their families live and work in Germany. They all come and visit us, when their time allows them to do so. We, as parents, have more time and we fly regularly to Germany and visit them. We love our new primary home on Isle of Capri int the city of Treasure Island, where we made many wonderful friends. I am an avid League tennis player hitting the tiny yellow balls in my fun time.

Besides this, our main goal is our business/condo and you, our guests becoming friends, and we live almost all year round here in Treasure Island to take the time and pride to give you an outstanding service.

Why Monika and Peter Gewecke chose Treasure Island

We bought this condo, which is a CORNER unit on the 5th floor out of 6 floors, with direct views from every window to the beaches and the horizon is the Gulf of Mexico. It has 925 sq Ft and is fully furnished to the best of our own European/Floridian taste. Being Directly situated on the beach, this condo is airy, bright and with light colors in white and yellow being the dominant colors.and you can enjoy the most amazing sunsets from the big balcony facing the beaches. Gorgeous views and each time we are over in the condo, we ourselves take the time to sit on the love seat and enjoy a drink, could be coffee or a glass of water or even better a glass of wine. It depends how much time we have to get the condo ready for you, as our new guests. Before we choose to live here in Florida, we travelled around the world to many different countries, but we also wanted to own a part of this beautiful wide beach here in Florida's most calm and sunny part of the world.

On a very private note: I was Stewardess with Air Canada and stationed in Montreal and in Toronto and spent my vacation at that time in Treasure Island. Yes, I really did and I fell in love with this place. I married my husband Peter, lived in Germany many years and after Peter retired as a Chemical Engineer we both decided, after spending a couple of vacations in this part of Florida, to stay here for our retirement.

Now we are trying to give this fascination for this area to you, as our guests.

What makes this condo unique

This condo building has a fantastic name: SOUTH BEACH CONDO HOTEL and this is how it really looks from the outside. The first impression you get are the Three Distinctive Colors outside on the facade: light GREEN, corn color YELLOW and a soft VIOLET. It is so outstanding, everybody knows this building! Really South Beach Colors! In 2004/05 the whole building was refurbished and updated with granite counter tops, new appliances and we always re-decorate and update the furnishing and window decorations throughout the different rooms. We really fell in love because of the location. Location is a must directly on the beach, no neighbors disturbing your views and a quiet and serene surrounding. You only hear the waves from the Gulf of Mexico while sitting on the balcony and sometimes the enjoyment and fun from the kids swimming in the pool.

Treasure Island has the most beautiful wide Beaches with bright white sand along the coastline in Pinellas County. For your additional exploring Fort de Soto National Park is close by. Many Restaurants of different tastes are in walking distance from the condo. John's Pass, a tourist friendly village is also in walking distance along the shoreline.

The New DALI Museum about the Spanish extraordinary artist, opened in January 2011 in downtown St. Petersburg and is spectacular already from the outside. Another First Class Museum is the world glass artist Dale CHIHULY from California.

Other Activities: Skite Flying, Sand Sculptures, Sun Bathing,

Golf: For you and your family, we can offer in Treasure Island the Treasure Bay Public Club in order to play Golf and Tennis with very reasonable prices. The Gulf Course has 9 wholes and the Tennis Club has 8 courts with Har True, no hard courts. This community club is beautifully situated on the tip of the Intracoastal Waterways.

Exceeding the number of persons will result in additional charges or you may be asked to leave this condo. We charge $ 20.00 + tax extra for any additional guest per night.

Cancellations: A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation.
Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur NO PENALTY.
Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full reservation deposit.
No refund for cancellation less than 12 days prior to Check-in Date.
No refunds will be given after the guest arrived or did not show up at all.

On top of the two Twin Mattresses we added the Comfort Touch Memory Foam Reversible 3' Mattress Topper. The Comfort Touch topper is the ultimate in luxury and therapy. It is made with an innovative new eco-friendly foam that keeps your sleeping temperature just right for a great night's sleep. There is a comfortable sofa-bed in the living room in Queen Size, which fits for two kids or teenageers. 'NEW' Upon several requests from young families, we offer also a Baby Crib and a High Chair for small children up to 3 years of age for a small fee. ($ 20 per night ) In December 2012 we bought new allergen free covers for the king size bed as well as for the two twin beds with white duvets. The two-sided beige curtains protect you against bright light from the sun and they make your sleep comfortable at night.

From the balcony you overlook a beautiful maintained garden, with green lawn, many flowering trees and of course, palm trees. Balcony ... We have a big private CORNER balcony facing the beaches. It is big enough for six people to sit outside in our white wicker furniture. Tennis ... Eight Tennis courts are offered by the City of Treasure Island in their public facility about five minutes away by car, called Treasure Bay. The club is located directly on the Intracoastal Waterway. Golf ... This is the same location as the tennis facility, You can play 9 wholes of Golf there. You also enjoy the views over the wide water with always a breeze to cool off.	Lanai / Gazebo ... The fixed Gazebo is to protect you while you are grilling or just relaxing and watching your friends/famiy play shuffle board. Kayak / Canoe ... We would not recommend to go by Kayak or canoe out into the Gulf of Mexico from our place. Bicycles ... You can rent bicycles nearby or ask at John's Pass Village for rentals. Suitability:	Low Allergen Environment children welcome ... We offer a baby cod for children up to one and a half year including the necessary linen for $ 20 pn. We also offer an inflatable bed for a child with linen, blanket and pillow for $ 10 pn. A High Chair is available on request. Please contact us for further details. limited accessibility ... The wheelchair is not suitable inside our condo and not in the bathrooms. You can bring your own wheelchair and 'park' it outside our front entrance door in the protected corner. We like to add a personal comment: We are originally from Germany and on our vacations in Europe, we always took our big dog with us without any restrictions. Just put them on our private beach wagon and hop - you are on the sandy beaches, right were you want to be and enjoy the gentle suf our beaches. We bought 4 new BATHROBES-COVER-UPS to walk from your vacation condo down to the pool.

Perfect relaxation in the Floridian sun

Dear Peter and Monika,

thanks a lot for the possibilty of staying in your beautiful appartement in Florida. It is always so nice to have the opportunity to get away from cold and rainy Germany for some days, and all of a sudden be able to walk around in short pants and T-shirt.
We felt at home from the very first moment, and had ourselves accustomed after only two days. We were very surprised to find a bottle of nicely cooled white wine in the refrigerator, what a nice welcome!

After the description on your website, we had no trouble finding the appartement. At first, we were a little bit afraid, that we would have to carry our luggage to an upper floor, but were happily surprised to find an elevator. The appartement was clean and comfortable and fully equiped with everything we needed, even some teebags for a warm drink in the evening.

The pictures are not lying! We had beautiful sunsets in the evenings, and even after the sun had gone down, enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the warm Floridian night.

After having stayed for a couple of days, we got to know the beach a little bit better, and were surprised to find, that it really is the nicest just in front of the condo. Only here the beach is wide and I just needed to take the elevator down and walk another five minutes to jump in the water.

One day we went to John´s Pass and rented Jet Skis, what great fun we had! Driving around in the car, we did some sighseeing, went to the shopping malls and downtown St. Petersburg.

We would definitely recommend this condo to friends, we are already planning our next trip to florida, this time bringing friends of us along. This first time, we were just the two of us, but the condo provides enough room for friends of us to stay in their own bedroom with bathroom.

My family are now all adults and we wanted a different kind of Christmas. One that was about family and free of commercialism, So it was an easy choice to travel to Florida to see my aging parents and to have a reunion with other family members.
I went about searching for just the right place. I knew I wanted something special and a hotel just wouldn't do. I wanted a beautiful Gulf view, a balcony, and two bedrooms(minimum) and two bathrooms. And since we intended to bond over our meals a nice kitchen was a MUST have. Besides the best cooks I know are the ones I love.
My search became an obsession. I read reviews, e-mailed rental owners (waiting days for a response) and checked for available places for the right budget, Then I e-mailed Monika and she got back to me right away. That's when I knew...THIS IS IT! She was prompt with sending the lease. We had several e-mails She offered excellent customer service.
On our day of arrival she met us at the condo. She welcomed us with open arms and showed us around. WOW, was all I could say. This place had everything I wanted and more. It's an open concept design so that the family can be together even when in the kitchen. And the gulf view is always in front of you. We defiantly took advantage of the balcony everyday.
The interior design was great. A big screen TV, a comfortable sofa(we did not use it as a bed) a dining table, and plenty of lighting. The bedrooms were nicely decorated with lots of closet space and shelves. We all slept well since the beds were of good quality and very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and had nice large soft towels. Then there are all the special touches we enjoyed, such as the washer/dryer, the extra quiet Bosh dishwasher, the nicely stocked kitchen with the special bottle of welcome wine, and the wagon we used to help bring luggage and groceries up and down.
The location was perfect. Gulf blvd is a main street and has all you need. The new Pubilx is interesting. You park in a garage and take your cart in an elevator to 2nd floor. We also enjoyed putt putt gulf. Mostly we hung out and enjoyed the holiday with family. The best way to celebrate any holiday!

Yes, this was friendship at first sight! You are such a warm and caring person and family, it was a pleasure meeting you all and chatting along. Thank you very much for your friendly and positive review, especially after I had some disappointing experiences.
You told me that your husband is the cook in the family and you all love to prepare the food together which you did also for Christmas. After a friendly remark from you, I exchanged all pans and they are now all new and ready for the next family doing some cooking together. Peter and I discussed where to place our books, videos and family games and we found a perfect wall and installed a new ladder bookshelf in the living room next to the big armchair. We think this is a great improvement for the homely feeling for our guests.
We hope to meet you again in our condo and we will welcome you again with open arms and big smiles.

Fabulous Condo and Beach Vacation!

Dear Monika and Peter, Again your attention to every single detail for your guests is top of the line! You make our stay comfortable and so enjoyable! The view from the balcony is breathtaking and I could sit there and watch the surrounding beauty all day. Our daily walks on the beach always produce beautiful shells. We appreciate that Peter came over to meet with us personally during our stay. It is very apparent that you and Peter are completely sincere in wanting to make sure your guests are completely satisfied. We were so happy to see that this year there were beach umbrellas for our use and a wonderful wagon to haul everything to the beach for the day. This trip I brought my husband and 12 year old grandson and they enjoyed the condo and beach as much as I always do. It was so much fun to watch the children playing games in the pool all together even though a few of them spoke no english. When you are having fun there is no language barrier and it was a complete joy to watch the children (though they were all strangers to each other) play so well together. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you so much Peter and Monika for opening your lovely condo to us. We love it and highly recommend it to everyone we meet!

Monika's lovely Condo on Treasure Island Beach

My wife, son and I had a delightful time at the lovely 2-Bedroom Condo Corner Unit. Having been a travel agent and tour manager for 35 years it was not my first time in Florida on the west coast and Treasure Island. Some of these experiences have been better then others and the stay at this condo racks among the two or three best condos I have stayed at. THE situation is ideal, right on the beach, close to Publix (major grocery store, a 10 minute walk), the 24 hour Waffle House Restaurant right across the street and many other places within easy walking distance. THE condo itself was clean when we arrived with a bottle of wine greeting us on the kitchen counter. A nice touch!There was the beautiful view of the extensive beach from the good-sized balcony outfitted with inviting wicker furniture, a loveseat and 2 comfortable chairs with cushions. The living-dining room was nicely decorated with bright colours, a large sofa/bed, easy chair, a glass table with 4 chairs and a dimmer light over the table for romantic dinners. There was also a large TV. A side window gave extra light and a view up the beach. The kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge amd icemaker. A large stove plus microwave, dishwasher and other appliances one needs for great cooking. Lots of cutlery, plates and glasses etc.. The kitchen window also had a view of the beach and you could see the lift bridge at John's Pass when it was up.The main bath room was well outfitted with sink,tub, shower. The shower head worked fine as well as the exhaust fan and the drains. This was true of the ensuite bathroom in the second bedroom. (have often encountered bathrooms where this is a real problem as these items are rarely cleaned. The Master Bedroom boasted a huge king-size mattress and was one of the most comfortable beds my wife and I have slept in during our past travels. There was a smaller TV with DVD player and a view of the beach looking north. The second bedroom with 2 comfortable single beds on wheels and also a view of the north part of the beach completes the accommodations. In closing I would like to say that the condo was well supplied with all kind of sundries, too numerous to mention. Everything worked in the unit! There were 5 beach chairs and the wagon mentioned in the description was handy to have. Great to have the friendly owners close by to assist in every way. Thank you Monika and Peter. We hope to be back again.

What a wonderful place to relax. The view is fantastic, plenty of opportunity for that great picture of a sunset. Walk right onto the beach with no roads to cross.Location is the best.
Condo is clean and modern with all we needed to enjoy our vacation. You lack for nothing in this condo. Owners are great and keep it clean and comfortable. Looking forward to returning again to this Treasure Island gem.
