Ski: Buck Hill ski center is a quick drive from the home, as well as the Hyland Park ski jump. Cross-country skiing is accessible directly out the front door on the extensive separate ski trail system along the Parkways and around the lakes. Sledding hills are available a few blocks down the parkway. Large Inner tubes are available for creek running and sliding.

Lovely house let by friendly owners in a brilliant Minneapolis location.

Really lovely,quiet, comfortable property near lovely Minnehaha Creek and a short walk to Lake Harriet and local shops and coffee shops-even closer once Lyndale Avenue Bridge is open again. This property's location makes you feel you are somewhere semi-rural but is ideal for visiting Minneapolis-an easy 15 minute drive to Downtown and about the same to Mall of America. It has lots of space and would easily accomodate many more than the 5 that were in our party. The house is well equipped and clean and the laundry is certainly an assett when you stay as we did for over 2 weeks. Doris and Greg, the owners, are very friendly and gave us all the help we could wish for including allowing us the use of the house long beyond our check out time, making planning for our late evening flight home a no stress event. All the members of our party are very grateful to them and so pleased to have found this fantastic little haven so close to the city. It will certainly be top of our list to book on any return visit to the Twin Cities.

We had an excellent time at the Parkway Beauty! Our stay was a long weekend girl's shopping trip. There were 8 people in our party and the house was more than accommodating. Plenty of room for everyone to have privacy, but plenty of areas to get together and play games and hang out as well! Everything we needed was there! We will probably stay again next year!!

Best home rental!!!

Spent first night alone but felt at home right away. Son had picked me up at airport, then we were joined by his fiance and we walked a few blocks to a malt shop for dinner on Doris' rec. Even though I am a vegetarian and the young couple are vegans, we all found something to eat that we enjoyed despite our self imposed restrictions. Shopping area within walking distance and I was able to use a child's stroller I found in the hall closet to transport a few bottles of wine from the huge liquor store. Within a few days we were a group of 6 adults and there were plenty of bedrooms to accommodate us. I baked 2 cakes for the rehearsal dinner and apparently had too much butter in the cheesecake crust which leaked out, causing the smoke alarms to go off. In addition to meeting some concerned neighbors, I got to see Doris and Greg in action. They got some fans up in the kitchen windows and turned off the alarms. Never did they make me feel uncomfortable or awkward for the commotion I caused.The cakes turned out fine for the dinner and there were plenty of serving pieces, plates, flatwear, glasses, etc for all the appetizers, food and drinks and plenty of room for all the guests. Downstairs was convenient as a play area for the children. The home is spotless, the beds comfortable, the neighborhood is lovely, couldn't ask for anything more. I'd love to stay there whenever I visit my son and new daughter in law and promise Doris and Greg I won't bake any more cakes.
You will be very happy to stay here, we definitely were!

Perfect home... and especially for a football weekend

There are so many good things to say about our experience in this home that I am not sure where to begin. First, Greg and Doris are so friendly and welcoming. They really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The house itself is huge and even though it is accurately described, it is much bigger than I expected so we had plenty of space.

Having four rooms allowed us four guys to spread out and have our own room as we were in town to see the Vikings play. That reminds me of how perfectly situated this house is. It is about 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from the Metrodome, 15 minutes from downtown, and seemingly 15 minutes or less from everywhere we wanted to go.

The price is VERY reasonable and you are just throwing your money away if you stay anywhere else. I highly recommend this vacation rental.
