If you have been to Lake Almanor you know it is one of our best kept secrets. If you make this your vacation this year you will return again and again.
Home is where your story begins! This is my home and my sanctuary. I can come to work, to relax, to visit with family and friends, to play with my children or to be alone. I just wish I could always be here!
Gerry Hansen purchased this house in 1998
I did not buy a vacation rental. I bought a home and a retreat. Economic times have created a need to make this an income property. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I. I believe you will experience the joy and peace of our home and you will create beautiful memories for you and your family.
Wonderful gathering place for my family to get together with other friends. RELAXATION!!! The layout allows for multi-families to visit or a small corporate retreat.
12 of us, ranging in age from 4 to 68, spent a week at Hansen's Lake Vista and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house was very clean when we arrived. It is very nicely furnished but not so fancy as to prevent you from making yourself at home. The large back deck pictured on this site was wonderful and we spent a lot of time there. We also enjoyed the large lawn that runs from back of house to lake. Not only is it lovely but it was a good place to enjoy outdoor games. We had a boat so made good use of the dock and lake even though there was quite a bit of wind that made boating problematic the last few days of our stay. We only ate out one night and had good pizza at Paul Bunyon's on the Peninsula. Other than that, we cooked basic meals in the kitchen which was adequately supplied with utensils for our simple needs. The rooms and room sizes worked very well for us so we weren't constantly tripping all over one another. There are many board games there as well as a kayak and paddleboat, both of which we used. The hot tub had just stopped working when we got there and the parts needed did not arrive by the time we left. Not a problem for us. There is enough room to park a few cars (we had 4) and even a boat trailer. The owner answered all questions promptly and there is a "manager" that lives nearby in case you have questions while you are there. I would definitely stay there again and would certainly recommend it to friends.
This was our second time staying at the Hansen home. We had a wonderful time! The view from the deck is like no other. The house is beautiful and stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed our meals on the deck, played lawn games on the beautiful lawn and enjoyed our time in the water. We plan to return next summer for more fun!
Great home w/ plenty of room House managers were extremely helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for lake front rental. hot tub and outdoor pool table were a huge hit.
Our families have been vacationing at Lake Almanor for the past 10 years, of which the last 4 years have been at the Hansen's Lake Vista property. The past 4 summer's at Hansen's Lake Vista have been fabulous. The property improvements, bedroom updates, new dinning table, out door patio funiture and firepit have all been welcomed improvements to the property. Always gives us a very "homey" feeling and we would recommend it to any family wanting a great week on the Lake.
We love the dock accommodations for our boat and the paddle boat for all of us to enjoy. The huge family deck is wonderful for early morning coffee and watching the wildlife in the evening. We eat all our meals on this lovely deck. The new hot tub this year was most welcomed as well as the new air hockey/ pool table. What I love most about this house besides the perfect location is that all 14 of us fit perfectly in the home .... We are not on top of each other! My family loves this home and are making many memories during our yearly visits.
We had a great time at Gerry's home. It was perfect in many ways. Very family friendly. All amenities were very nice, but not over-the-top, so that you would be afraid to enjoy. We had big kids and little kids. The deck is amazing - great for line dancing :) Property was very clean and stocked with most everything. Close enough to stores for a quick run. Beautiful, beautiful lake. We did not need to go anywhere else for activities. It was all there. The listing was described correctly, other than the lack of TV's in bedrooms. My only complaint was the gardener mowed the lawn (very noisy) at 7:00 AM, and sprinklers went on at 5:00 PM when kids playing on lawn. These two issues were very minor.
