Imagine stepping through the front door and immediately being greeted by a crackling fire in the wood-burning stone fireplace – nothing warms you up after a day of winter fun faster…except, perhaps, for a soak in the hot tub! The dining room offers great views, enhanced by the large windows and doors leading out to the wrap-around porch. Just off of the other side of the open kitchen, there is a second, smaller dining area, perfect for the kids to have their own “private” meals!
The master bedroom on this level boasts a comfortable king bed with quality linens, and its own full bath. Again, the view outside is into the surrounding woods, a great outlook to wake up to each morning.
Upstairs, there is a cozy loft area with a comfortable futon, the perfect spot to curl up with a cup of cocoa and a good book. There is also a full bath, and another bedroom with two twin beds, complete with hand-hewn log headboards and footboards.
Evenings often find everyone in the game room downstairs, where guests can choose from foosball, ping pong, pool, air hockey or darts, or watch a movie on the HDTV flat screen with surround sound. Others prefer to just step outside and enjoy the sounds of nature from the rocking chairs.
Additional sleeping accommodations on this level include the third bedroom, with a queen bed and its own full bath.
In warmer weather, the many rocking chairs on the porches and decks are perfect to take in the view and just plain relax. Others will enjoy the swing on the covered front porch. Kids love to explore the surrounding woods, and report back their special finds to the rest of the group. And of course everyone enjoys the river, which is conveniently within walking distance!
