Grand Cayman Vacation Rental condo

My wife, teenage son and I just returned from a week at Harv's Kai. The pictures on this site are a great representation of the condo. The condo is stocked with all you will need for the week. All appliance worked and appeared pretty new.

The condo is on the Northside of the island away from the main tourist sections. The beach is littered with dead coral which makes it seem rocky. Acouple of houses down the beach is nice white sand. There is a small palm tree on the beach but no other shade. There is a nice thatch roof gazebo by the pool. In the afternoon there is a nice breeze.

A car is necessary to get around. About 5 minutes down the street is Rum Point which has a public beach, bar and grill, restaurant (in season) and snorkel shack. A glass bottom boat leaves from there to Sting Ray City. About 5 minutes further down the road is Kaibo, another public beach with a better bar and grill. However, this beach has a lot of boat traffic and diesel smell.

Gergetown and Seven Mile Beach are about 40 minutes away. This is where the majority of the tourists go. It has shops, fast food restaurants and good restaurants. There are a lot of dive shops and dive operations here.

While there was another teenage boy in the complex, our schedules did not always work for the boys to hang out so our teenage son did not always have what to do. Drinking age is 18 so he did have that.

I recommend Harv's Kai as a great place to relax and hang by the pool and beach. Nicole provided a great write up about the area and island with many recommendations how to make your stay more enjoyable. You should read through the write up before you go. She was very helpful with any questions we had before we left.
