One of the very best places we've ever stayed! We are parents and grandparents to 4 children and 12 grandchildren. We spent our Christmas vacation in Alexandria (where our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren live) & Mt. Vernon, VA. We are from South Dakota. Eight of us stayed at this vacation home, the rest of the family stayed elsewhere. We spent Christmas morning, many evening meals and time together at the house.
Carlos and his wife, provided a fresh Christmas tree for our week's stay. The kitchen was fully equipped--modern appliances (double oven), one set of daily wear plates, one set of China, plates and silverware for children, high chair, pots/pans and even a large pancake griddle. The bedrooms had comfortable and beautiful bedding, bathrooms were very nice. The living room is large and cozy with a fireplace and large screen tv. I really appreciated the high efficiency washer and dryer, along with a clothes drying rack and laundry baskets. The back yard was great for grandchildren because it was fenced in and had a large play set. Nothing has been overlooked for amenities.
It was so nice to come "home" after a day of site seeing--so much better than going to a hotel. Most of all, we appreciated the kindness shown by Carlos and his wife. Kindness in all the things mentioned and coming to the house to help us with anything we needed. We thank you so much, Carlos and wife, for making our vacation so memorable because of your graciousness and attention. God bless both of you.
