OCTOBERFEST IS HERE! Come celebrate then retreat to peace in a serene forest, close to the festival, yet far enough from the noise.
NEWLY ADDED!!! Hot Tub! At Hertzen Platz (which means a (place in the heart in German), a true Glamping adventure, next to a flowing stream with tiny waterfalls and lined with Rhododendrons and Mountain Laurel trees.
We are located in the heart of the North Georgia mountains right next to the Chattahoochee National Forrest. You will stay in a Large 15 ft diameter Bell tent that can easily accommodate 2 people and two children with 1 queen size bed and an extra bed if needed, coffee maker, ice chest, toilet, hot shower, bbq grill, firepit, Park Bench by the stream, Hammock, tire swing and two hiking trails. You also have electricity, Wifi and a hot shower. Just added swinging bench next to the stream that is lit at night..

A Memorable Anniversary at Glamping Site

Gary was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make our 15-year anniversary truly special. From the moment we arrived at the glamping site, he greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm. His passion for hospitality was evident as he patiently explained how everything worked, ensuring we felt comfortable and well taken care of. But Gary’s talents extended beyond hosting. As an amazing chef, he delighted our taste buds with a picnic basket that exceeded our expectations. The centerpiece was a delightful chicken salad, bursting with fresh flavors. The addition of German sausage provided a savory twist, perfectly complemented by a side of cheese and blueberries. And let’s not forget the thoughtful touch of including a cozy blanket in the basket—a small detail that made our experience even more memorable. It’s these little things that set Gary apart—the personalized attention, the culinary expertise, and the genuine care he put into every aspect of our visit. We left the glamping site feeling grateful and thoroughly satisfied, cherishing the memories of our special day. Thank you, Gary, for creating a magical and unforgettable anniversary celebration. Awesome weekend Glamping!

My husband and I had an awesome weekend glamping! Gary was a wonderful host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I’ve camped before but this was so much easier with less items to bring. The yurt was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the little touches such as books and games as well as a coffee maker with coffee, tea, water bottles, etc. we loved our complimentary bottle of wine too! We enjoyed Gary’s gourmet breakfast and desserts as well. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. It was cold outside but we were warm in the yurt with the heater that Gary provided. We had a lot of fun doing all the fun stuff in Helen such as visiting the German restaurants/bakery, the mill, winery and antique mall(which is 3 levels with great prices.) We also hiked Ana Ruby falls one day. It’s a great, short, paved hiked but steep. We even walked the short nature trail on the property one day, exploring the grounds. All and all we had a fantastic, short stay and plan to go back!

Great weekend getaway

Had a great stay up in the mountains with my dog. Gary was very friendly and accommodating. The tent was perfect, had plenty of space and everything I might have needed. The area is perfect for a quiet and secluded getaway with those you love.

I have always enjoyed entertaining and enhancing peoples lives as a Health Care professional and Natural Wellness Coach. The music I have played over the years both professionally and for fun has been a gift that I have given myself and love to share with others. My property has been envied by neighbors and guests for the past 9 years and I have been encouraged to offer it to others in one of the most beautiful mountain settings in one of the most charming of tourist destinations in Georgia. You will also be greeted with a Smores package and a bottle of wine. So that is what I have done and we welcome everyone to come and visit

Why they chose this property

This property has the peace and charm of camping without all of the work. A large Bell Tent was my choice to offer because of comfort and ease of entry and use. It is saddled up right next to the flowing stream that I call, Hertzen Platz, and has given joy and comfort for many years. We have just recently added a firepit, Hammock, hot tub and Breakfasts served between 8 and 10 am. Close by you will find, zip lining, horseback riding, golfing, fishing, tubing, the Alpine Coaster, Biergardens and Wineries. You can also experience antiquing, live music, history and culture.

What makes this property unique

There are many adventures in the area and onsite, we offer dessert and champagne or cheese trays and tea and wine. Also there are several hiking trails right next to your site. One community trail and one private that begins as you walk from your tent.
We can also arrange a smores night, ghost stories and even a serenade with guitar.
