Photos and Description of the Sintra vacation cottage rental 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, sleeps 10/12 people

The Quinta’s wonderful English garden, includes hidden retreats, sunny lawns, shady walks, palms and pines, pyramid cedars, a cork forest, cactus, fruit trees and a variety of colourful plants all within it’s nearly 1 hectare enclosed garden, has fountains, a horse stable, swinging couch, pool, barbecue and terraces for outdoor dining, putting green, lawn games. The house was completely renovated, to include hand-painted walls murals portraying historical scenes of Sintra, azulejo tiles, and rooms with traditional Portuguese oak panel ceilings. The ground floor has a traditional Portuguese entrance hall leading to a dining and a living room all with original stone floors, a cosy family room with a bay window overlooking the garden, kitchen (featuring an historic bread oven), pantry and a quaint basement 'adega' for wine storage and entertainment. Every room was carefully decorated with rustic furniture.

Property has caretakers: The Quinta has caretakers living on the property, they tend the garden and pool and maintain the house daily (collect rubbish, tidy up bathrooms, prepare a log fire for the evening, and collect garden furniture).

The property: It is an ideal haven for a family in the summer offering plenty of entertainment within its walls as well as opportunities to keep busy or find quiet.
