Just 30 minutes from Sunrise Ski Resort, and less to great fishing and a multitude of other outdoor activities. Words cannot describe the beauty and the grandeur of this special creation inspired by old European fairy tales. Hand crafted from beginning to end by owner/architect, you will never find another place like this. Located on top of a ridge with far-reaching views across the pine covered hills towards the west, where you can view the spectacular southwest sunsets.

The White Mountains of Arizona offer a plethora of outdoor activities. The climate varies from cool springs and mild summers, for golfing, fishing, biking, hiking, horseback riding, to snowy winters great for skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, ice fishing, and snowman building. Rainbow and Brown Trout and Bass fill nearby lakes. An extensive trail system provides great hiking and nature viewing. Sunrise Ski Resort is just a 20 minute drive from our cabin offering full services and everything from beginner to expert terrain. Pinetop and nearby areas are rich with history and diverse culture. The Apache/Sitgreaves National Forest and the Fort Apache Indian Reservation surround this early pioneering country. There is much to explore. The Ponderosa pine trees can reach over 100 feet into the sky in this forest. This is a magical land, no matter the weather. Come play and relax!

Place was outstanding...wonderfully furnished. With every turn a pat on the eye was in waiting. Paintings, antiques much of it furniture. Just a place to sit back and relax. Nothing was spared in design or furnishings...right down to the heated slate floors and towell warmers. Cozy yet still open and certainly grand. My group of ten hope to return again and again. A slight hitch in the beginning but the customer service was exellent in that the problem was corrected within the hour with little inconvience to my group, things happen. The dinning room seats ten comfortably...Sauna is listed but only saw a steam fixture in the one master shower...did not see jet powered tubs either. But if anything was wrong it was certainly overcome by the beauty of the Lodge and its location. A lot of good energy has run through this place and you can tell the moment you walk it. You will not be disapointed with your choice and if you are then you are a hard to please person and should probably stay home. Great for children but to nice for those not reared properly. Plenty of games to place...computer hookups...a georgeous pool table in an upstairs gaming room. The fireplaces through out are great in the winter...they are lit with gas but are wood burning...no hassle in starting fires AT all. Might bring some larger industrial size cookware for groups etc. there are some of course but if you love to cook you might bring your favorite. My group is used to the finer things in life for certain and find this place to be way, way to much for the average and hope to come back. The pleasure would certainly be ours.
Owner's Response: We are always available by phone to make sure our guests have the best stay possible. We updated our amenities list to be accurate. To clarify, we have two tubs with no jets, and a steam bath shower, not a sauna. It gives us great joy to share our special place with others. We love your reviews!

This cabin is incredible! The pictures don't do it justice, we were absolutely AMAZED when we walked in the door. It really is like a storybook chalet. The views from every room are great. The appliances in the kitchen are top of the line. It was VERY clean. I wouldn't rent anywhere else ever again when I am in Pinetop.
