Family get together.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Thomas Richard House. Johanna could not have been more gracious. She kept in touch with us prior to our arrival, asking if there was any information on local activities that she could send to us. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and she was still able to accommodate our arrival time. Our grandson had a wonderful time playing "hide and seek", the house is full of interesting nooks. The sleeping arrangements were wonderful. The 5 year old had his own room with 2 twin beds and loved having a choice of which to sleep in each night. The books in the living room were so interesting. My family loved learning about the local families from some of the high school year books of the 1920's. We could walk to the stores, restaurants and Harbor within a block or less. The vegetarians in our family loved the local store with its fresh produce and vegetarian friendly products. The house itself has such an interesting layout. We were all able to spread out and not get in each others way or come together and enjoy each others company in rooms large enough to accommodate all of us. The rooms were all clean and inviting. My son-in-law had to put in some hours working and we appreciated having the Internet available so that he could come with us. We did nature walks, climbed a small mountain and traveled the Island. I have always loved Bar Harbor and we would absolutely stay here again. We had a great time. Thank you Johanna for enhancing our visit.
