Come and Unwind in the Bahamas!
Our family's two bedroom ocean/beach front apartment at Coral Beach near Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island directly overlooks the ocean. Tucked in a quiet oceanfront corner on the 3rd floor, it's much brighter than the standard interior units at Coral Beach and has 2 full bedrooms -- it's like scoring that hotel room double upgrade at no extra charge!
Offering great cross breezes (we are an end unit and very private), the sunny living room looks out to the ocean. The apartment is furnished with a queen bed and dresser in each bedroom, living room with sofa and 2 chairs, dining room table and chairs, a color TV and stereo, ceiling fans in living room and bedrooms, breakfast bar, and a balcony off the living room. Outside on the balcony (or from the living room), you can sit and enjoy the ocean view.
The master bedroom looks out towards tropical gardens, has a queen size bed and glass sliders for cool night breezes.
The apartment has a full bathroom with tub/shower, plus a second dressing room area with a sink and large closet.
The open kitchen is fully equipped and totally remodeled with newer appliances featuring a breakfast bar and stools. It opens to the living area. The dining area of the living room seats six.
Our condo overlooks the beach and breathtaking ocean and is just steps away from the oceanfront pool and bar and grill restaurant.
Swim in the clear blue waters, or snorkel at the offshore reef. Or just relax and laze away on the white sand beach under one of the shady tiki huts or palm trees on our beach.

Our family bought the condo in 2006. It had the original pink shag carpeting and bad pink wallpaper. Don't worry -- we have renovated and redecorated it, and the pink is gone. Life is too short not to enjoy it as we go along! We want you to enjoy Coral Beach as much as we do!

We first fell in love with the great beach, but very quickly we have made many wonderful friends at Coral Beach, both Bahamians and other condo owners and guests.
We love our condo, but there is so much to do outdoors that we don't spend much time in it! Personally, I also enjoy waking up to the sound of the waves most mornings, walking the beach, and riding my cruiser bike around the island.
Because of the balcony and two large sliding door windows with sounds of waves on beach, the rating is good. Otherwise there were issues: we paid for a cleaning service before our arrival, but that part was poor; not vacuumed, hairy bathtub, no toilet brush,unmade bed with pile of bedding on it [sheets seemed washed, other no]. The vacuum did not work. The kitchen had a broken drawer, and either the dishwasher was poor or the tap water was very hard. The owner did not reply to my questions once our money was received.The second bedroom had no window, although there was a ceiling fan. There was no fan in the bathroom, and the tile in tub is in poor shape. Also there a ppeared to be water or mold damage on the bedroom ceiling. That said, we still had a great time. The property was safe, people were friendly. The building seems old but basically maintained. The pool got murky sometimes, but people can be slack about pre showering.
Fantastic ocean view! Condo was very bright, nice balcony with cool breeze for sitting & relaxing in the afternoon. Can't say we spend a whole lot of time in the condo, we rented a car & explored the island. Spend 2 days at Paradise Cove, we loved it, snorkeling was great! Coral Beach is clean, pool was always clean, the huts for shade on the beach was great. The owner is super nice & so accommodating. The office was closed when we left so we didnt get to turn in the remote for parking. The owner took care of it for us and sent us our $75.00 dep. Great place to stay! We had a wonderful time, can't wait to go back.
Very nice stay. Property was exactly as described. Owner very helpful. He called first day to ensure we had everything we needed. The Coral Beach condo was very confortable and had a great view of the beach. People that worked in the building were very nice and friendly. Coral Beach is very clean and water is clear. Lots of sand. Condo had a pool with poolside bar that included light foods with reasonable prices. A short walk down the beach to Port Lucaya. Lots to do there. 2 miles from Solomons grocery store. Bahama people are the nicest folks you will ever meet. Will be back next year!
We just returned from the most wonderful, relaxing trip (and that's saying a lot when you travel with a baby and a 3.5 year old!). When we arrived at the condo, after a very challenging journey with the little ones, we were greeted by a bright, breezy, clean oasis with a view of the gorgeous ocean. The condo was everything we could have needed and more--the kitchen was fully equipped (we ate almost every meal there), and there was even a bike we could use for quick trips to the grocery store. Solomon's is an enormous supermarket an easy taxi ride away, and it's open 7 days a week. Next time we come we'll just stop there on the way to the condo. Our 3 year old slept in the second bedroom, and the baby's pack n play actually fit in the bathroom, so everyone had a space to sleep (and sleep they did, yay!). There was also a little carpet sweeper I could use each evening to quickly take care of the inevitable sand and cereal build-up on the floor. The condo had such nice cross breezes, we didn't even use the AC during the day (which is saying a lot--we are big AC people!), and at night we used it only to help everyone sleep. It was very effective and a constant white noise, no clunking on and off.
The beach out front was never crowded, and the ocean was calm. The pool was very well kept, and the restaurant by the pool was so nice to have. Everyone we encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly. There was a wide range of people staying there--couples, families, retirees--it's perfect for everyone.
The owner of the unit is incredibly helpful and answered my (many) questions promptly. I can't say enough good things about this place, and we can't wait to come back!!
We are very close to: Scuba Diving, Catamaran Adventures, Horseback Riding on the Beach, Dolphin Encounters, Deep-Sea Fishing Charters, Golf Courses, Kayak Nature Tours, Hiking and Swimming at Gold Rock Beach in the National Park, Birding, Lots of Secluded and Active Beaches, Fitness Center on Premises. Straw Market, Open Air Cafes and Live Music at Port Lucaya are all walking distance from our apartment.
