Stay in luxurious accommodations in this downtown newly renovated loft - your home away from home. Everything you could need for your vacation is here: a fully equipped modern kitchen, dining area, comfortable plush queen bed, queen-size sleeper sofa, twin futon daybed, washer and dryer, two new 27 inch TV's, Satellite, DVD player, stereo, air conditioning, and a large window overlooking downtown.

We have a smaller apartment called the Little Sister (homeaway listing #916282) that is available often when the Urban Nest is booked at about 1/2 the price. You can see details on our website.

A Few Extras:: The owner has put together a wonderful resource - a notebook of favorite hikes, restaurants and shops to make it easy to plan your vacation in Asheville. Also she lives nearby and is available to answer your questions and help in other ways to create the ideal experience. The Lobster Trap located in the first floor of the building will stock the refrigerator before your arrival if requested with steaks, lobster, etc if you would like. Or, hire the Lobster Trap chef to create a personal dinner for two in the privacy of your condo.

Spa Theology, a lovely day spa located next door, offers special package discounts to our guests. Just mention that you are staying in Lynne Harty's unit to get the discount.

If Lynne is available she can arrange to have chocolates, wine, etc waiting in your room for an additional fee.

The Urban Nest is located in the heart of downtown Asheville - a bustling scenic town nestled in the mountains and filled with locally owned shops, restaurants, and galleries. Drive up to the famous Blue Ridge Parkway or the Biltmore Estate in less than 10 minutes. You couldn't find a better location to base your Asheville mountain escape. Park your car in the lot across the street and walk easily to all of downtown Asheville's attractions: Pack Place which houses the DIana Wortham Theater, the Health Adventure and the Coburn Gem and Mineral Museum. Also downtown is the Civic Center, many art galleries, the Orange Peel, the FIne Arts theater, and too many great locally owned restaurants to name.

This oasis in the middle of downtown is perfect for those who want a comfortable place to relax in and use as a home away from home, a base for their downtown Asheville explorations. Mature adults only--not a place for college students to come and party.

  • The bedroom has a pillow top queen mattress and is a very quiet place to sleep. There is a TV with DVD player as well as a ceiling fan. There is a very small second room with a futon single daybed in it - suitable for a child or small adult. The sleeper sofa has a memory foam pad available for it which makes the sleeping quite comfortable.

My husband and I spent a week in this condo for our anniversary and we loved every minute. It is very clean, well decorated, and in the best location! We had our 3.5 month old son and it was very quiet and close for times when he needed to rest! Great for walking around the downtown area and within driving distance to all area locations. We will definitely use this place again the next time we get a chance to visit!

We had a great stay at the Urban Nest for my birthday weekend. Location , location, location. Want to give a shout out to new friends at the Pack Tavern & recommend the trip down to the River Arts District to The Junction for dinner/drinks. If you like the combo of bikes and beer then Beer City Bikes on Biltmore is for you. Say " Hi" to Ronnie for us. We shall return! Thank you!

Relaxing Winter Weekend

We enjoyed a very relaxing Winter Weekend. Highlights included a tree identification lecture at Highland Brewery, while sampling their beer, then eating Asheville food fair and a run a long the French Broad River. The Urban Nest was a our cozy home. Thanks for supplying conveniences!

We loved it here! It was cozy and comfy. The perfect size for two on a special birthday week! We could walk all over down town--it even rained and we still had an enjoyable time due to the location. The parking is literally across the street- but it was the feel of the condo that was so special. Every little detail in place, great colors and just we enjoyed ourselves so much. The wine was such a nice touch to open a bottle on arrival and having a washer/dryer was awesome-do small batches-remember its a smaller stackable set--and head the notes on use and you will be fine. We loved the couch in the living room. I just really can't say enough. Thanks -we will return! Ellen and Cody ;-)

The "Urban Nest" was our home-away-from-home for a mini-vacation in Asheville. This condo is perfectly located for walking, and believe me, you'll need to walk after eating the sumptious food in Asheville! The "Urban Nest' was superbly furnished with everything we needed! We'll definitely stay here again!
