This is a spectacular ocean-front home on west beach of Bald Head Island. Incredible private beach access and lap pool (8' x 40') allow for rare east coast views of the sunset. This house is at the junction of Cape Fear inlet and the Atlantic Ocean and one can see all kinds of ships coming and going to/from nearby ports of call. The house comes with bicycles and 2 golf carts to explore the island. The Cobb 18-hole golf course is walking distance away.

Getting There: Bald Head Island is accessible by NC Ferry only, with available parking at the ferry station called Indigo Plantation. Traveling around the peaceful island is by golf cart, bicycle or on foot. There is much to explore, from the Old Baldy Light House, to miles of beachfront, to maritime forest preserve. All are accessible within a short walk or bike ride.

On-island amenities: Bald Head Island Club is available for an optional membership for guests. There are 4 tennis courts at the club, available for use with the optional membership. The club has a fitness room and an outdoor pool for member use. There are 2 restaurants and a full grocery store on the island. The lounge and club restaurant are also open to temporary members.

Details: No weddings or large parties; this is a beloved home for family rental only

Golf: Bald Head golf course is a top NC coastal 18-hole, full-service golf course. It is an easy walking course, or golf cart rental. The course is only 1/4 mile from the house and well within walking distance. This is a Cobb course with a 137 slope rating and total yardage of 6800 yards from the back tees. The pro shop has a full selection of equipment for purchase or rental, as well as a great teaching pro staff for kids and adults. There is a full driving range as well. ***PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GOLF COURSE WILL BE CLOSED FOR MAJOR RENOVATIONS FROM DEC. 15, 2009 UNTIL MAY 15, 2010*** The driving course, club house, putting/chipping area and pro shop will remain open.
