Play guitars or quietly read in the all-weather elevated gazebo; trek to the cabin for summer or winter cocktail parties, marshmallow roasts, cookouts; ride the two zip lines in the summer and cross over or drop into the large pond; feed the trout in the winter or summer; catch and release trout in the large stocked ponds; watch migrating elk herds and deer from the deck with steady-shake binoculars; ride mountain bikes; hike through the woods and identify dozens of flora with your provided and ranch-specific flora guide; play with and feed the horses; climb around in the hay lofts of the barns; play horseshoes and do some light archery; explore the many ponds and aspen and pine woods; listen to your favorite music on the main house stereo system; canoe/kayak on the ponds; river raft, mountain climb, golf, play tennis, ice skate, cross country ski, ride the gondola, downhill ski in nearby Telluride.
Winter ski access is easy. Drive to Mountain Village, park free at the free village gondola, ride the gondola right to the mountain, check your skis, boards and/or boots at the ski valet right at the end of the gondola; zip--you're right at the ticket office and ready to go with your equipment. At the end of the first day, check your equipment and switch to afternoon/evening clothes if you wish; ride the gondola to the town of Telluriide to shop, drink or eat; ride it back (it runs late in the evening) to your car; or shop for dinner right at the free gondola parking lot as you leave.
