We stayed Dec. 26 2011 -Jan.2 2012. The listing description is accurate, the photos reflected the rental's appearance spot-on and the property is obviously well-maintained. The location is quiet, and off the beaten path yet it allows ready access to both South Lake Tahoe and the more west/north lake attractions (emerald bay, homewood, Tahoe City areas etc.). We went skiing at Heavenly 4 times during our week and it was only a 15 minute drive with traffic. House's electronics like TV-Stereo are state of the art, pool table is a very nice touch. Kitchen is great set-up for larger groups with multiple cooks -- appliances etc. are all more than aqequate though seem to be getting a bit on the tired side in some cases when compared to the A+ rest of the house - same story on bathrooms. Extremely nice beds and bedroom set-up, great for two+ families. The security deposit is a bit high when compared to other rentals and was a little bit of a worry for me at time of rental, but it was fully returned in a timely manner and I thought the explanation for having a larger security deposit (prevent careless renters & large party groups) was reasonable.
Bottom line - great rental, as advertised, nothing to worry about from the renter perspective, you'll have a great time.
