The apartment is situated in the charming 'Little Venice' area of London so called because of Regents Canal - still in use - that runs through the neighborhood. Little Venice is situated just a mile or two from downtown London, a stroll away from London Zoo, Lords Cricket Ground and Regents Park. Trendy Notting Hill, bohemian Camden and Portobello market are a mile to the west and many of London’s finest theaters, galleries and museums are no more than a short bus/ tube ride away. Just a three minute walk from the apartment you can catch a bus to London's vibrant West End or to Knightsbridge, or take a tube from Warwick Avenue Station. The 'Heathrow Express' (the fastest link) takes just 15 minutes from London’s key airport 'Heathrow' to Paddington station which is a 5 minute tube/ taxi ride away from the Garden Flat. A short walk away is the lively Clifton Road 'village', with five places to eat, a small supermarket, butcher, drugstores, wineshop and a good old English pub...

Our family of 5 adults stayed in May, 2009, and found it to be both lovely and very convenient to transportation and shopping. The garden is beautiful, and the patio is a wonderful spot to have breakfast before heading out, or an evening drink. Having a kitchen and laundry facilities really helped out on packing light and saving a little money. Roberta is very helpful too. The neighborhood is great, with a canal that can be walked to Regents Park and other locations. I am a total convert to renting an apartment now instead of staying in a hotel, and would recommend this one to any group wanting a nice place to stay in the heart of London.

As good as it gets!

The apartment is just fantastic. It is spacious yet very cozy at the same time. It has all amenities that you could think of and, believe me, Rob has thought of everything. The apartment is in a very, very nice residential area with local stores, a coffee shop and great restaurants nearby. There is a subway/tube station a very short distance away. Just a great place to stay in London. Highly recommended and we hope to stay here again in the future.

Wonderful Flat for an Outstanding Family Vacation!

This was the first time our family of four (2 adults, 1 teenage daughter and 1 teenage son) had traveled to London. We rented this flat for 5 days and 4 nights in late March, 2013. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay because this flat was outstanding in every possible way in terms of comfort, convenience, and value -- it was essentially a second home away from home!

The owner who lives upstairs couldn’t be nicer. She is very accommodating and emailed me in advance of our stay re: apartment details, transport from Heathrow, and other useful information. The prior excellent recommendations for this flat and Rob’s responsiveness to all of my emails quelled any concerns I might have had in renting an apartment for our family vacation instead of booking hotel rooms.

The flat itself is well-appointed and is very spacious with about 1,300 sq. ft of space. The master bedroom is huge with tons of storage space and a true “king-sized” bed that was most comfortable for my wife and me. Our two teenage children slept in two separate bedrooms and they, too, found their beds to be quite comfortable as well. The 2 ½ baths provided ample opportunity for everyone to get ready quickly early in the morning for a long day of sight-seeing. As an added plus, we had a kitchen with a frig that already had some items in it, as well as a washer and dryer and a lovely patio.

The 3-4 minute walk to the nearest tube was very convenient as the flat is located in a lovely upscale neighborhood -- we never had an issue coming back to the flat late at night after a long day of sightseeing. The flat itself has excellent security with multiple locks, including a deadbolt. While it was cold during our stay in London, the flat was well-heated and we never had a single issue or problem during our entire stay. In addition, the flat was very quiet so we had no problem falling asleep.

Local coffee shops and restaurants are outstanding and are all within a 5-minute walk. We ate at Raoul’s for lunch on the day we arrived. It was nice to have a relaxing, outstanding lunch so close after a long overnight flight from the states. There is a small grocery store is in the block next to the restaurant, so it was also very convenient to pick up breakfast items and other things on the way back to the flat on the day we arrived.

Thank you Rob for making our London vacation a fantastic, relaxing, enjoyable experience! We will be certain to tell our friends about your wonderful flat.

Please don't think this delay any indication of our sincere gratitude in sharing your wonderful home.  You don't realize how much you contributed to our holiday of a lifetime with our 3 grandsons, and we sincerely thank you for all your assistance and hospitality while we visited London.  Your apartment is a wonderful haven in the middle of a big city.  Our only regret is that it wasn't spring or summer so we could enjoy the garden.

Fantastic Family Vacation!!!

The owner met us at the flat and allowed us to check in early. This was incredibly helpful as we had 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 children, along with all of our luggage. The flat was just as the owner described it and there were lots of extra blankets! There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space at the end of a busy day. While the wi-fi connection was spotty, we weren't inside long enough to really make use of it. The location was wonderful, only a five minute walk to the nearest tube stop on the Bakerloo line, and in a beautiful part of the city. In addition, both Paddington Station and Marylebone Station, which we used on day trips out of the city, are on the Bakerloo line. I would recommend this flat to anyone who asked for a great place to stay in London. We would definitely stay there again!
