GREAT EXTENDED STAY GETAWAY

Based on previous written reviews, along with the listing description and photos, we selected this property above all the others for our extended Panama experience. We weren't disappointed! This beautiful place is very private, yet near all the things you might need or want to see. The house was clean and nicely decorated, has a well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds, but the pool and bohio are really the stars of the property. The extra-large pool has a shallow end for non-swimmers plus a fun swim-up bar. The bartender isn't included, but the bar has a small refrigerator which you can stock for self-service. There's a small sink and an outlet to plug in the blender if you want to whip up some fancy drinks! Hector, the property caretaker, is invaluable and will help you with most anything you need, even your Spanish! A stunning beach is a 5-10 minute walk downhill from the house. During our stay, the trail leading to the beach was widened and smoothed for easer walking, or access by car. At low tide there are hundreds of tide pools to explore, a variety of interesting shells for beachcombers, or the option to take a long beach walk in either direction.
Being somewhat adventuresome, we decided to go without a car for 6 of our 8 week stay. The Panama bus system is excellent. The buses are air-conditioned, fares are inexpensive, and a convenient bus stop on the Inter-American Highway is just a short walk from the house. Even if you have a car, a short bus trip is worth the experience. Hector will even walk you to the bus stop to make sure you board the right bus. Whether you're considering a long or short term visit to Panama, we highly recommend this lovely, relaxing place, where the weather was consistently beauftiful. After living there for 2 months, it truly felt like our home away from home!
