About The Owner

My wife & I purchased this house in 2004 simply because we absolutely love the area, the ocean views & breezes, and it's always cool (temperature wise) in this location. In fact, we've never had mosquitos because it's just so breezy here. The upstairs great room is where we spend almost all of our time just reading, sitting, eating and drinking. Here's a photo of us with our oldest daughter walking on the beach at sunrise around 6:30AM - please excuse the morning hair.

Why The Owner chose Kailua

We have been traveling to Kailua since 2001 on a regular basis, and decided to purchase this home once we saw the beauty of the house. Although we live in San Francisco, we come and stay at our Kailua home about four times a year to just enjoy the beauty of Hawaii and visit our friends there. We choose to stay during the off-season when visitor demand is lower, but we've decorated and remodelled our home to make it comfortable for all of our guests in the hopes that our renters will treat it like their own home and share our love of the home.

What makes this house unique

We've been working with Claudia (property manager) and Robin (renting agent) from Trinity Properties in order to make sure that our home is maintained in as tip-top shape as possible. Living on the ocean is essentially owning a boat on land as the maintenance is non-stop. Everything gets destroyed by the ocean salt water so there is certainly a price to be paid for living right on the ocean. Thus, we are constantly maintaining the house and have the windows professionally cleaned every week, the pool cleaned every week, and the house scrubbed each after every weekly visitor. You'll get to enjoy the fantasy and beauty of living on the ocean without the expense & work of taking care of it (that's my job!). We are always up early in the morning to watch the sunrise as it is breathtaking everyday for us, even after owning the house for six years. Then we close the day with sunset on the lanai overlooking the pool with a glass of wine. Nothing could be more relaxing.

Stunning oceanfront home on Pacific. View is spectacular. Perfectly located between Honolulu and the North Shore. Kids loved the pool and the nearby beaches (Kailua and Lanikai). Would definitely return.

We spent a fabulous week in this spectacular house.
It met and exceeded all of our expectations. The view was breath
taking! The house is so comfortable and inviting. We slept with the
windows open and the sound of the waves crashing the shore.
The location was exceptional - close to the beautiful sandy beaches
in Kailua, easy drive to Honolulu and North Shore. Everything we
needed from beach towels/toys, pool toys to spices/utensils in the
kitchen were on hand. Laura with Trinity was so helpful and
responsive. We can not wait to return!!! To the owners... Mahalo for
sharing your beautiful home!

For a premium rental, I would expect newer tv's and not the
old 27" CRT ones. On the master bedroom tv there was a label that
the dvd player was broken and did not refer to the old dvd that was
in the covered portion of the cabinent. I would love to see the pool
heated more. All it would take was a cover, avail
at Home Depot for $70.00, to keep the heat up.

Our expectations were met and surpassed. You should not pass up the
opportunity to stay in this lovely home. A
comfortable and elegant property in a great location.
The management company was very accommodating and informative.
We also received a wonderful welcome basket upon our arrival from the
owner. We usually rent homes instead of hotels and this is one of
the finer properties we have exprienced.

The view from this house truely has the WOW! factor and will
wake anyone's senses. From the ocean's 24 hr luliby to the
shades of blue as the ocean parts the shore and meets the sky will
not soon be forgotten. With our teenage son and his friend,
we settled here for a week and the house met our expectations on
