We were really impressed with our stay at the ranch. We loved the house and the property. After spending the day in Yosemite it was great to come here to relax and unwind. The house is very spacious and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Our dog loved running around the property and exploring. Thanks so much Judy for fulfilling our last minute accommodation and making our stay so enjoyable.
We visited this place end of July and was our first away from it all kind of experience. It is a beautiful and spacious house. The place was clean and we had champagne and pop corn ready to welcome us. Ms Parker was always ready to answer our concerns. Our toddlers loved running around. We loved watching the night sky in the wilderness with enormous number of stars, something we don't get to do in the city. We stayed only for two nights, but wished had longer time to spend at the ranch itself. We even sighted a deer prancing by. We didn't get an opportunity to use the hot tub and dropped the idea of visiting the pond as we were told it was kind of dry around the time of our visit. It is a pretty uphill hike for people who aren't used to it I guess.
There is a burger joint about a mile away but did our groceries at Mariposa around the junction of 140 and 49. ( if I remember it right that is).
Thank you for the wonderful experience ( even the one of woodpeckers waking us up :)), loved it.
We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Ranch!!!! Upon arrival we were greeted with champagne and the hot tub bubbling away...very nice touch!! The house is huge and is very well presented. Great kitchen and everything is there for you to create great meals after a busy day at Yosemite. The drive to the Valley floor in Yosemite can vary depending on traffic. Anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours is a fair assumption. Judy was fantastic to deal with and was quick to respond to any requests etc. From Mariposa is approx 10-15 mins drive. Good supermarket in town behind Burger King to stock up on the needs to create wonderful meals and enjoy the peace and serenity of the ranch. Would of loved to have stayed longer than 2 nights as the peace and quiet on top of the hill at the ranch is fantastic!!!
This was an amazing place to stay while we visited Sequoia and Kings Canyon! The drive to the place was an adventure in itself. Very secluded and great for families who want to be away from it all. We have 3 kids who are college and high school aged. It was perfect. The view from the home was fantastic. There was plenty of room for our family and they had many of the staples you might need all ready there. The place boast an unbelievable amount of DVD's which were quite assorted for all ages. The WiFi was great; we had one daughter who was taking an online class and it was a must! Also, I was able to walk the paths outside the home and listen to my music without problems. The owners were great and easily attainable, although they did not interfere on our time there. The place it self was sweet and Retro. Wished we could have stayed longer!!
I came here for New Years weekend with 7 of my friends and we had the greatest time ever. The house is beautiful and much larger than expected. We felt right at home and were even greeted with a big bottle of crisp champagne. We haven't stopped talking about this trip since we had to go home.
We will be back!!!!!!!!
We stayed here for just under a week in July 2013. There were 5 adults and 3 kids. The house is far from main roads on a lot of land. The kids enjoyed the lake and rope swing. It's quite an uphill walk to the lake, and elderly family members might opt to drive instead. The hot-tub was wonderful as all of the outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful afternoons while bbqing. The house had all the comforts we needed with space for all of us and it was clean clean clean. Very, very comfortable for relaxing after long hikes at Yosemite and definitely spacious so that the kids weren't under our feet at all. The owners were gracious and checked in on us via phone to ensure our stay went well. We would highly recommend this place, especially for big families with kids!
